(As I would be leaving for the Holy Land on 22 August 2009, the personal monthly observation and comment would be incomplete).
01 August 2009 – After the Maghreb prayer I wanted to see the khenduri schedules at the white board. I was reading the wrong board as its place had been taken over by the Kuliah schedule board. The board was relocated on 29 July 2009 from inside the Mosque Main Hall to the verandah. The board had been inside the Main Hall for years and it’s for the Jemaah information who is who is delivering the kuliah for the night. By replacing at the current position, only those who enter the Mosque vide the back entrance can read the information. The fact remain that everything of the previous Committee had to be changed even though there is no logical rationale of doing it. The Malay saying, “Apa punya hati ni?”
Ustaz Kamal Shaari, PAS invitee delivered his Maghreb kuliah and most PAS members from surrounding Mosques and Suraus came. They abandoned their residential Mosques and Suraus just to assemble in Kampong Raja Uda Mosque to hear the kuliah. The Mosque has exactly turn similar to Markas PAS. The normal kampong residents could be finger counted. The kuliah was videotaped just like PAS political ceramah at Markas PAS. I used to videotape once when Selangor PAS Commissioner, Hassan Ali did his political ceramah at Kampong Raja Uda Markas PAS.
02 August 2009 – Ustaz Sutrisno Mahfuz delivered his after subuh kuliah and one of the subjects he touched was about swearing in the Mosque. If the swearing is false the ultimate destination would be doomed in hell. The Nazir with both his hands was holding his chin. He did swear in the Mosque in front of the former Nazir and a few other former Committee Members that he had handed over RM 17,000.00 to the Treasurer of the Amanah Saham Wakaf of the New Mosque. The complication was, the Treasurer had passed away and no receipt or whatsoever to authenticate his claim that the money was actually handed over. (Now we can see why he wants to get even with the former Nazir and his Committee). He brought along a buddy to bear as witness and this particular buddy is the assistant Treasurer of the Kampong Khairat Kematian and the Nazir himself is the Treasurer. The Kampong Khairat Kematian six years financial account is still in a mess and not settled at Annual General Meeting. Can we see the connection??? However I salute the former Nazir, (even though I disagree ) that he kept the episode secretly not to embarrass the personality involved. Most of the Kampong residents were not aware what was happening. Logically the Nazir should be thankful to the former Nazir for covering his ass hole.
03 August 2009 – Ustaz Kamal Mahadi - PAS invitee delivered the Maghreb kuliah and as usual the Mosque was crowded with Jemaah from other Mosques and Suraus. At the end of the preaching a few PAS members shouted: Takbir and Allah hu Akbar. This is the usual war cry during PAS political campaign and kuliah at their Markas. They have now brought in the war cry into a Mosque. I am really sad that the Mosque has now turned to a Markas PAS and it’s not good for the Jemaah harmonious integration. There are UMNO, PAS and PKR followers in the Mosque and at the rate the PAS Members are doing I foresee a serious confrontation soonest to occur among the Jemaah.
04 August 2009 – During Maghreb and Isyakh, none of the three Bilals was around to call the azan. Finally good old Haji Ismail called the azan. Haji Ismail was the Bilal during the previous Committee but he was rejected to be appointed as Bilal, due to age limitation as set by the Pakatan Rakyat government of Selangor. To me age is not important. The ability to be always presence at the Mosque is the utmost important. That’s the trouble when we have stupid cow dung managing the state government.
05 August 2009 – Malam Nisfu Syaaban. After Maghreb the Chief Imam conducted the three times recitation of Yasin. PAS members that attended could be finger counted and some Committee Members went home. The white skull pointed capper is missing so as the Secretary. One Committee member was seen playing with his small kid while the Yasin recitation was in progress. Surprisingly during the Isyakh prayer plenty of PAS members turned up at the Mosque because after the Isyakh prayer there was a khenduri tahlil at the Treasurer parent in law house. These people gave priority to eating than to honor the Malam Nisfu Syaaban. They call themselves PAS Members of strong Islamic faith?? Piraahhh…..Hypocrites!!!
06 August 2009 – Ustaz Ahmad Arum delivered his kuliah. This Ustaz was nominated by the former Committee and PAS members did not attend. For this Ustaz the system of donations was by Jemaah saf after the Isyakh prayer. For present Committee Ustaz, the collection is during the kuliah itself. Why there is a difference and why there is a disparity between former and present Committee nominated Ustaz??
During the Isyakh prayers the children were loitering and making a lot of noises at the back distracting the Jemaah. Where are the 3 Siaks?? It should be their job to ensure the children behave while the Jemaah are praying.
07 August 2009 - Pre Friday prayer – Ustaz Shamsudin Sidek supposed to deliver his kuliah but his place was taken over by Ustaz Ramli Sidon, “Pemantau Masjid Masjid Selangor”. In other word, Ustaz Ramli Sidon is an Overseer for all the Mosques in Selangor. Ustaz Ramli delivered the tazkirah, khutbah and imam the Friday prayer. Immediately after the prayer he conducted the solat hajat to avoid the H1N1 plague. It was not announced earlier and not many jemaah participated. The Mosque Committee was expecting Ustaz Ramli Sidon to announce something positive about the New Mosque situation which would favor them but it was to their disappointment nothing was mentioned. An emergency meeting was held immediately after the solat hajat of H1N1 among the Mosque Committee with Ustaz Ramli Sidon. I do not know what transpired.
I was told by Imam No 2 that he was warned by the Nazir for attending the New Mosque Committee Meeting at OBD Office on 28 July 2009. Attending subsequent Meeting, the Imam is to resign. Adamantly the Imam told the Nazir that he would not resign but would like to see a termination letter instead.
08 August 2009 – Ustaz Riduan Rahmat, PAS invitee delivered the Maghreeb kuliah. As usual PAS Members from surrounding Suraus and Mosques thronged Kpg Raja Uda Mosque. I left early.
09 August 2009 – Ustaz Hj Fauzi Sahar delivered the Maghreb kuliah. He was introduced by the Nazir himself and simultaneously the Nazir complemented the participants for the successful “gotong royong” during the day and announced the overwhelming support by the Jemaah as compared to the previous year. Comparing to the previous year was purposely targeting to hurt the sentiment of the previous Committee. As a Nazir he should protrude Islamic diplomacy in the House of Allah. If he does not know how to speak intelligently in the House of Allah, I suggest he go for personal tuition with an Ustaz how to speak, act and behave as a Nazir of a Mosque. That’s the problem when vengeance controls the heart and the mouth just blur out aimlessly.
12 August 2009 – According to the schedule there was no kuliah ugama after Maghreb, however a PAS invitee Ustaz Wan ???? turned up and delivered the Maghreb kuliah.
15 August 2009 – Ustaz Badrul Hisham PAS invitee came to deliver his kuliah after Maghreb. He challenged any SB (Special Branch) in the Mosque if any, that ISA (Internal security Act) is haram in Islam. He emphasized all the haram in Islam and I think all Muslims presence in the Mosque should know by now. At the end of the kuliah, as usual he apologies if he went overboard and finally seek the jemaah doa that he will die in good Islamic faith (mati dalam iman) - sounds like a dialogue in Ali Baba Bujang Lapok.
16 August 2009 – Hj Tormudi Surip, an Ustaz of the former Jawatankuasa delivered the Maghreb kuliah. The kuliah was about Bukhari and Muslim Hadiths on the signs of Doomsday. He concluded the kuliah about the forthcoming Ramadan of which all Muslims should enhance their faith and perform all the Ramadan rituals. He also told the Jemaah if affordable, perform the umrah during Ramadan for one umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to one Haj. This is what I am looking forward and this type of kuliah is well receipted by the Jemaah who attended. Unlike some, it is more like PAS political ceramah. Only their oratory presentation is commendable but in the end the substance had been repeated over and over again.
17 August 2009 – Siak No 2, OBD apparently had been dropped as Member of JKKK and suspended as Siak No 2 of the Mosque. Why? I don’t know, Allah knows. They said he is back to powder. What powder??
18 August 2009 – I was late for Maghreb as I went back to Perak. Immediately performing the Maghreb at home I went to the Mosque. Surprisingly there was a commotion at the back of the Mosque while the Imam was still reciting the doa. Upon inquiry my friend told me the Imam was the Nazir himself and he stunned the Makmum and created history. Before the Nazir commenced to lead the Maghreb prayer he told the children praying behind that their “amin” should not be louder than the Imam. He started the first rakaat with the normal Alfatihah and the surah was “baqarah”. He went wrong. The second rakaat he recited the Alfathihah and continuation of “baqarah” surah. Again he went wrong. After the tahyat akhir, to the surprised of all the Makmum, the Imam who was the Nazir, performed sujud sahwi twice!!!. Someone commented that he should recite only the simple surah but OTK replied that the Nazir was testing his power. Power, my foot!! There is no such thing as two times sujud sahwi when the rukun of solat was not affected, there is no such thing as the “amin” should not be louder than the Imam and the recitation of the surah, though only sunat must be right with the correct tajwid. Which religious school he went and which Ustaz taught him so? The Nazir doesn’t even know the difference between sunat and rukun of solat. Most unfortunate, Ustaz Useri was one of the makmum.
Ustaz Useri delivered the Maghreb kuliah and his topic was “riak” (showing off). In Islam if one intention, no matter anything we do, meant to show off, Allah would not bless. The topic was definitely relevant to what the Nazir had just done and I think the message was for the Nazir. Immediately, the Nazir stood up, went to the corner and performed his Maghreb prayer again, alone this time and everybody was watching. Hello…..it would be more ethical and due respect to the Ustaz who was delivering the kuliah, the Nazir should just step out from the Hall and repeat his Maghreb prayer. Question is why he was repeating the Maghreb prayer? What about the Makmum that he had just led?? That’s the trouble when knowledge is inadequate.
To be an Imam or to be a Nazir is not that simple as it sounds. Please….for heaven sake if the Nazir cannot perform the duty of an Imam with knowledge please leaves it to someone who can perform the job. The Chief Imam and his Deputy was presence. That’s why I am neither an Imam nor a Nazir because I know how to fit the suit to my body. However I can distinguish between right and wrong and I was taught the sunat and rukun in solat. That’s the basic in praying and if you don’t know that, I rest my case. The responsibility of an Imam is enormous and it comes along with knowledge. The miscarriage of proper solat of the Makmum lies on the Imam and he bears the dosa (wrongdoings) of the Makmum if the Imam made a cuckoo.
If I were that Nazir, I do not know where to hide my face. I suggest he just resign and let someone who are more capable. Don’t mislead the people. Off late he had been trying to embarrass the previous Committee Members and now Allah had embarrassed him in front of the Jemaah. It’s high time he should do some soul searching and muhasabah diri.
19 August 2009 – Immediately after the Isyakh prayer, OTK switched off the lights at the left side of the Mosque Hall while few Jemaah was still praying the sunat Isyakh prayer. This behavior was most unethical and someone shouted and wanted to reprimand him. He quickly started his own sunat prayer. The lights were switched on by Bilal No 1. I am not surprised as OTK is the same man who robbed the Kereta Jenazah. Perampok Kampong No 1.
20 August 2009 – The Contractor of the New Mosque performed a doa selamat at site and all the kampong residents were invited.
The evening was the sighting the Ramadan moon.
After the Maghreb prayer, the Nazir spoke to the Jemaah and informed that the Mosque Committee is the legal Committee of the New Mosque and they would forced the New Mosque Committee headed by the former Nazir to hand over all documents, cheque, money etc to the Mosque Committee, failing which legal action would be pursued. However he did not show any documentary proof from JAIS or the OBD (HRH Sultan Representative) Office that the Mosque Committee is the legal Committee to oversee the New Mosque. He only told the Jemaah that he attended a Meeting with JKR pertaining to the appointment and introduction of the new Contractor. I understand he was not invited by JKR to the Meeting. Ustaz Farid (Pemantau Masjid Klang) dragged him along to the meeting. Some Jemaah sat listening to the Nazir announcement and now wondering who is right and who is wrong? On this aspect, I suggest JAIS should come to the Mosque and openly declared to the Kampong qariah who is the legal custodian of the New Mosque.
As it was the night of Friday, the Imam conducted the recitation of Yasin and followed with the tahlil. Upon completion, the Imam informed that the Ramadan moon was not sighted anywhere in Malaysia, therefore Ramadan would begin on Saturday 22 August 2009. The moon is always sighted at Markas PAS all over the country!!!
Ustaz Fadhil Ismail – Pas invitee, then started his tazkirah and ended at about 2115 hrs. Isyakh prayer followed.
Some of us went to Haji izhar house for khenduri tahlil and we were fortunate to hear a briefing from the former Nazir who happened to be present. Perhaps some would now understand the actual scenario.
I begin to wonder…….what is the present Nazir is trying to do??? What is he up to??? Is it for the money in the New Mosque account??? Why is he misleading the qariah??? It was already proven as an Imam, he could not even lead a Maghreb prayer. Someone commented that this could be the percussion for swearing in the name of Allah in the Mosque. I have no comment.
21 August 2009 – I happened to have coffee with the elected Treasurer of the Mosque Committee and I inquired what is happening to the Mosque? He too felt that the situation is getting chaotic and related to me that the Nazir had shunned him for not able to comply to do something on his behalf. The Nazir did not even call him for Committee Meeting. As far as he is concern he doesn’t care. As a full time Businessman, the Treasurer elect had his hands full.
The first terawih went well with twenty rakaat. Announcement of names for tahlil had been scrapped and the tahlil is after the terawih and witir PRAYER. Those who did only eight rakaat left the Mosque and make their own way. Perhaps they follow the sunnah and continue the balance at home.
What I noticed, the first Ramadan night at the Mosque was not that cheerful like before anymore and the Jemaah just came and pray then went home. Something new, someone was selling CD at the back of the Mosque, still under the Mosque roof. This was something different than the previous years.
THE END OF MY OBSERAVATION FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST.

Before I fly off......
After the Isyakh prayer on 14 August 2009 I organized a small kenduri among close friends and the Marhaban group. About 40 attended. My friend Ali Termizi and Imam Khairudin performed the tahlil and doa selamat. The food was catered comprised of nasi briyani and simple side dishes to make things easier for the ladies in the house. After dinner a few of my close buddies stayed back for teh tarik and we talked about the latest epidemic of H1N1 and current political issues.
It was not my intention of not inviting the whole Jemaah from the Mosque. Firstly the hall of my double terrace house is inadequate to accommodate a bigger crowd and secondly unable to estimate the food to be prepared, certainly avoiding unnecessary embarrassment. Most of all I need to budget as some cash is required for my expenditure and contingency measures in the Holy Land. The expenses paid to the Travel Agent had already taken a toll and currently jobless, no source of flowing income.
The Perdana insurance and road tax had to be renewed expiring 6 September. Some cash to be left behind to take care of the utilities, phones and my credit and charge cards bills.
It was planned that the following day after attending the wedding of Haji Nazri Yusuf son near Klang Kolej Islam, the family would go straight to Ipoh. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the trip had to be abandon and still sore about it. Somehow the impact had more or less tarnished the anxiety of my pilgrimage but still affordable to withstand the strong waves that splash the beach and forever I must stand alone strong.
I consoled myself quietly and with the assistance of my good friend, Malik Ahmad who was willing to take the wheel, I went all the way to visit my late Father’s grave. The Alfathihah, the qulwallah, the Yasin water and my doa was the only thing I brought for him. I gave the same to two of my aunties who share the same resting area. To the other resident, my “Asalamualaikum ya ahlil kubur”. May their souls rest in peace and gather among the “mukminin” and protected by Almighty Allah.
I would be flying off with a wounded heart and looking back, life is not always that rosy after all. Sometimes Allah wants to test one’s patience and the “iman” in you. Allah knows all and Almighty Allah is always fair. One may not get this but Allah gives that. Be thankful (syukur) to Allah and one would be rewarded, if not HERE, it would be THERE, insyaalah. The fact that my heart is still pumping for the past 63+ years is the Almighty best present to me HERE. I would surely confide with the Almighty Allah when I am there, insyaalah.
My eye is not 20/20 and at night it glares. Though the cataracts were removed two years ago, at times the images are not sharp. I had to get a new pair of glasses. Money, money and money. Talking about money, I have to convert the Ringgit to some Saudi Riyals. In case my coffer running short over there, perhaps my wife would be able to hand some vide my neighbor Haji Adenan who would be joining me in Mekah on 10 September. There is no Ah Long in the Holy Land. I had also informed several friends to suspend sending me emails as in the Holy Land, the Cyber Café are located far off from the Hotel. Anyway, I don’t have time for the Cyber Café.
Without fail I had arranged my usual contribution to the Mosque during Ramadan. I have submitted to Ustaz Usery the necessity for me and my wife demised ancestors. Ramadan is also the month of giving to the living as well as to the one who had gone before us. Don’t forget, one day we will be joining them and hopefully our children would reciprocate.
Insyaalah, when or if I come back I would write about my journey of 2009 Ramadan Umrah. Those who read this, appreciate for a doa for my safe journey.

All set.......
All set for 22 August 2009 and I would be leaving for Jeddah Saudi Arabia vide Gulf Air to Bahrain. Transit at Bahrain for a couple of hours and would be leaving for Jeddah Saudi Arabia. From Jeddah I would be on a bus for the 480 kilometer ride to Medina, the Holy City of the Holy Prophet Mohamed (pbuh) where the Holy Prophet was enshrined.
Three days in Medina and on 25 August 2009 wearing the ihram would make the journey by bus again to Mecca. Seven kilometer out of Medina I would stop by for miqat at Bir Ali Mosque the compulsory ritual before I could perform the first umrah upon my arrival in Mecca. The rest of Ramadan would be in Mecca until back home, on 19 September 2009 insyaalah to welcome the Aidilfitri with the family.
For this journey I have chosen Andalusia Travel. Insyaalah all would go well and pleasant. I had been on an umrah once with Andalusia Travel and they are very professional about umrah packages. My close friend befriended since 1999 my Haj mate would be my travelling companion. We had been companion for the past two Ramadan umrah and now would be our third.
Prior to my journey I had gathered among close friends for tahlil a tribute to my ancestors who have long demised and a doa selamat for my safe journey, insyaalah.
The preparation of my journey is simple however the nawaitu is prime importance. The task is to surrender to the Almighty Allah and all deeds in the Holy Land are for the sake of Allah. At the Holy Land, objectively are fasting, praying, complete surrender to Allah and to perform the umrah (when able). Ramadan is a month when all Muslim, should try to see not what displeases Allah, speak no evil, hear no evil, do no evil and to look to Allah with fear and hope. It is the Holy month where Allah first brought down Al Quran to earth for the Muslim faithful.
“ O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Allah fearing.” (The Al Quran, 2:183).
As human, I too have setback but I leave to Almighty Allah to hear my plight of mercy. The humble soul sometimes too weak to face the challenge and test that befall upon me. The challenge and tests strengthen my faith and I render upon Allah to judge. I leave behind my Mother, siblings and family back home and I seek upon Allah for protection, blessings and guidance.
My journey is surrender and this humble soul knows that am just but a human being that Allah brought to this world as descendant of Adam to be an Allah humble servant. I seek Allah guidance for siratulmustakim (the right path).

A Politician and a Prostitute.
A Prostitute – pay them, they entertain you and have a nice screw. (use the cap, please).
A Politician – give them vote, they whacked your money and you got screwed.
Therefore a Prostitute is better than a Politician, in a way. At least you get the pleasure. How long the pleasure last, depending on your ability and skill.
Is it??? Whatever, we must avoid these two characters. Stay far away from Prostitutes and avoid Politicians. Whatever way we handle them they would screw you upside down and you ended up the looser. Both characters are only interested with your money. They normally pretend to be nice with you when you are with them, when done, they would not even recognize you.
I was in Dunes Hotel Casino in Las Vegas late 1989 sitting alone addressing the one arm bandit. A young beautiful Hooker, Mexican look approached me whether I was alone. I said yes but I did not tell her my family was up in the room. You wan’na have a good time? I told her plain no. The one arm bandit was more lucrative at that time. The bandit was pouring me plenty of coins. She moved away politely perhaps looking for an innocent victim. The next day as I was strolling with my family I saw her sitting on the bench, we exchanged glances as if we had never met. She did put up a smile. Maybe she was saying that man bullshitted me last night. He wasn’t alone after all. She was just one of the many Latinos hanging around in Las Vegas. Everybody come to Las Vegas to make money. I came to look for the brightest city in the world and the world most Civil Engineering marvel of Hoover Dam. I donated back to the Dunes the small winning I make last night. I was screwed after all.
A Politician I knew met me on the eve of Polling Day and I told him not to worry Dato, you would definitely return home easily tomorrow. True enough he won but during the Victory Dinner he did not even recognize me. It was either he had too many to complement or I was not that important to him. It was ok, fine with me, during the last General Election I voted for his Competitor instead. He was knocked off and serves him right. The Politician screwed my pride but I had the opportunity to screw him back and now he is just one of the countless Datoks in Malaysia. Before, I address him as YB Datok but now just Latok.
In this world everybody would jump to the opportunity to screw each other.

BGA revisited.
Sunday 9 August 2009 I had to attend a wedding at Bagunan Getah Asli Banquet Hall at Jalan Ampang KL. The place is very familiar as in the 90s; I had to attend a bi monthly meeting at this Building. However when I was the Committee Member of FCRIM (Freight Committee Rubber Industries of Malaysia) driving to this Building from the Office in Damansara Heights to Jalan Ampang was a breeze through.
I wanted to take a shortcut and I took Jalan Parlimen and Jalan Tun Perak to enter Jalan Melaka heading towards Jalan Ampang. Unfortunately there were no more direct exits to Jalan Melaka and I landed at Puduraya and Jalan Bukit Bintang. Finally I got into Jalan Tun Ismail and turned to Jalan Pinang to get to Jalan Ampang. The city roads and landmarks have definitely changed and I was in circle among the concrete jungles.
I arrived at the wedding reception of Haji Engah’s daughter when the bride and the bridegroom were already sitting on the bridal throne. Haji Engah was one of my 16 roommates when we performed the Haj in 1999. Haji Bakir who came all the way from Melaka was laughing at me for losing my way in KL. We were also glad to meet Haji Mohamad who came from Bahau. Haji Mat Saleh Jani called from Bangi that he was on the way but we left before he turned up. Haji Yazid from Seremban who was also invited was nowhere to be seen. It was nice to catch up with old acquaintance and our friendship that started from the Holy Land is everlasting. That should be the way.
Driving home was easy. From Jalan Ampang to Jalan Tun Razak and headed for the NKVE. After the zohor prayer, I hit the sack as I was physically and mentally exhausted. I am not used to drive into the heart of KL since 1996. Everything is available in Klang and Shah Alam.

BP 16 - Final episode.
I have decided not to part with the number plate to anybody.
Since somebody can have a printout of the car detail I had requested someone to get a copy of the printout from JPJ. If I am successful I would probably reuse the number plate for personal use or for any of my two kids.
Thinking about the number plate of BP 16, the car was nostalgic. I prefer to have the number BP 16 gone with wind than to see someone else proudly using it.

One year.
Today it’s exactly a year I blog. I enjoyed the pastime putting words from my memories and the current into a blog. I do have problem recalling places and events and still unable to find the time to master the technical aspects and the art of blogging. I am only interested that I can write and produce something in the blog. To be honest I don’t even know how to insert pictures. I merely interpret my everyday life and past experiences in writing. One in a while I can look back and recall the nostalgic past. That’s good enough for a 63+ year old man.
I would continue blogging until this body and mind are able. It would keep my brain cells working.
I don’t care whether those reading my blog like or dislike what I wrote. It’s my life, personal to holder and this country is democratic. I am free to express whatever I think of. Sometimes I like articles that written by some individual which correlate with my thinking, I copy and paste.
God willing I am able to see the second year. If not, my children and my children children’s can recall the old man past.
History never lies, only human forget to take it as a lesson.

Gloomy.
The morning was gloomy and rain started pouring. The rain hopefully doused all the haze that clad around Port Klang. The Sumatran coast is just a distance west across the Straits of Malacca and the impact of the open burning at the agricultural hinterland there affected the West Malaysian population in general. The south easterly wind is carrying the smoke signal. I don’t blame the Sumatrans, for open burning is the agricultural practiced from the day in memorial.
The phone rang and big brother Amran invited me to visit Uncle Mawi at KL Hospital. Uncle Mawi the handsome young old man recuperating from prostate surgery. I just conveyed my greetings to Uncle Mawi as I don’t quite like the idea of visiting a warded patient after surgery. The patient needs undisturbed rest. I would surely call on him when he returns home.
Before noon, I contacted Malik, for companion to Subang Jaya. Surprisingly he was at the Graveyard. I don’t even know and nobody informed me that my acquaintance, Amran Amir had passed away late last night. No wonder the morning was gloomy. At the first thought it was the other Amran who is suffering from acute diabetes. Amran Amir is in my email contact list (now deleted) and we used to sit for teh tarik and the latest political happenings. Off late he was out of action and I knew he was hospitalized but not that critical as told by my friend, Malik. Al fatihah for Amran and “innalillah hiroji’un”. Sometimes when I think about it, death can come anytime and at any age. Amran Amir was only in the 40s.
Went to MPH Subang Parade and Popular Book Store at Klang Jaya Jusco and at both places I failed to get the copy of “Are you a Good Manager” authored by Ismayudin Manan. The best bet is to request MPH to make an order.
In the evening the weather was still gloomy. The morning rainfall failed to absorb the smoky haze. Year in and year out, around this time of the year, the residents of Port Klang are suffering the same fate.

Dato Ismayudin Manan.
2 August 2009 (Sunday) – Suddenly I thought of this 70 year old man and I called the house. The faint voice answered and it was Dato Ismayudin himself on the line. I once reported directly to Dato when he was the Divisional Director of Plantations Division at Kumpulan Guthrie. Dato left Guthrie and joined DRB. He did not sound that good over the phone. He told me he could hardly walk and his diets are restricted due to acute diabetes. I promised to drop by to visit him on Monday evening.
Somehow I felt guilty for not visiting Dato soonest. I called up Farid, my colleague in Guthrie and told him about Dato condition. Farid suggested that we visit Dato Ismayudin at the same evening. I agreed to the idea and promised to be at his residence at Bukit Damansara sometimes around 1530 hrs.
Farid’s wife tagged along and we were at Staffield Country Home at 1630 hrs. Datin Zainab was surprised to see me as the appointment was the following day. Dato and Datin was just about to perform their Asar prayer when we arrived and I took time off to smoke a cigarette. We met Dato and we sat chatting of his present conditions and the old time stories in Guthrie. We were talking about few names that visited him and those who does not. He specially gave credit to one of our colleague, Christie Robert who often calls on him. Some even played golf at his residence frontage but did not even bother to say hello. Well, that’s life Dato, when one is in power everybody will try to be as close as possible. When not, bye bye. I don’t know you.
Dato Ismayudin has a full package. He had malaria, dengue, two strokes, hypertension, acute diabetes and undergone a coronary bypass. I remember when he had dengue fever; I visited him at the Hospital and jokingly told him his bungalow has no fencing that’s why the aedes mosquitoes could enter his bungalow easily. (All bungalows at Staffield Country Home regulated not to have fencing).
We asked him about Dato past time and he told us other than writing; he sits at the patio waiting for the bus to pick him up to go home. We all laughed as we got the meaning. He is just waiting for times up when Almighty Allah would summon him. I offered to pick him up for a spin in case he is bored at home, lonely and needs company. He declined because his legs are unable to withstand walking and he is too proud to be wheel on the wheel chair. Dato commented; sitting on the wheel chair is just like being carried to the grave. His jovial mood and antics was still there, as if we were not visiting a sickly person. He recalled how naughty I was when he caught smoke coming out from under my table during a fasting month.
Dato Ismayudin was the best Boss I ever had. We ventured off road to Tasik Kenyir, Tasik Cini and Tasik Bera. I used to share the same tent with him and like to play prank on me. I normally partner him when we played “terup keling” and we built “rumah batu” for our opponents. Once we lost our way in the jungle of Pahang, I came down from the Jeep to find the possible get away direction but Dato stayed put in the Jeep. Later I asked him why and he told me he saw tiger footprints around where I stood. Shivers ran down my spine. I don’t know whether he was serious or joking. In the middle of the night in the jungle, a Director stood guard while I answered the call of nature but I had to pay by sacrificing my blanket for the rest of the night to him. He shouted at me when I used a pail to shower myself when I was standing in the lake of Tasik Cini. I told him the dragon of Tasik Cini would come after me if I submerged myself in the water. We were at Allson Klana Hotel Seremban for a Seminar and the first thing he ordered was to buy two sets of playing cards. During the game of gin rummy in his suite he had no pairs to proceed and I told him to make the handful playing cards with him as a fan. He told me as a Director he could sack me for intimidating a Senior Officer. Those were the nice old days with Dato Ismayudin. As the Boss, in the Office he was serious and no more buddy. Sometimes when he was short of cigarette, he made me ran up the staircase from the second floor where my Office was to his Office at fourth floor. His philosophy: If you have any problem, find the best alternatives, then you come and tell me. Don’t come and tell me your problems, for I cannot solve your problems, that’s your job.
I looked at the watch and he wasn’t pleased for he wanted us to stay longer. Finally at about 1900 hrs we had to make our way back to KL and Dato limped to the car to send us off. We know he was happy to see us and we were also delighted to visit him. He was happy that I would be going to perform the Ramadan umrah and requested that I seek Almighty Allah blessing for his health.
Boss…..for your sake, insyallah I will do it.

I don't care.........
Teoh Beng Hock jumped down or thrown out at SPRM building. Everybody has its own speculations. I don’t care for I know, nothing would happen eventually. So why want to crack my head unnecessarily?
TGNA said “ Pergi jahanam dengan UMNO”. I don’t blame TGNA for saying that. Malaysia is a democratic country and he can say whatever he wants to say. I understand TGNA frustrations. If I am in his shoes probably I would say worse than that. I don’t care for another two weeks all would be forgotten.
They gathered on 1 August 2009 to demonstrate on ISA. I did not participate. What for? If the BN Government wants to maintain the ISA, they would maintain it. The only way to remove ISA is to remove BN. So, all of us know what to do depending what you want, maintain ISA or continue? In the meantime I stayed home and having a nice cool bath by Syabas water. I don’t need the FRU to give me a bath. It stinks.
SPRM going after all the DAP Wakil Rakyat in Selangor. If they can find out something not right, charge them and find them guilty. What can I do? I don’t care. We can have another reelection in Selangor. Then we decide, whether working with the devil that we know or want to work with the devil that we just know.
Khir Toyo is allegedly having a 24 million mansion in Shah Alam. I don’t care. If he really earns the money honestly, fine if not, he has to answer himself with the Almighty. Not my problem. If part of the 24 million is mine, I would definitely claim in front of Allah.
ADUN keep kicking the buckets and another bye election. I don’t care for it’s not my constituent ADUN. If it’s my constituent, I know what to do. The last elections, Ustaz Ronnie of DAP (Kiyai Khalid and Lebai Ma’el pillow mate) won beating the Malay favorite Dato Teh Tarik chap MCA.
1Malaysia? It used to be 2 Malaysia, East Malaysia and West Malaysia. Even the time was different but Mahathir standardized it. Now KL time and Beijing time is the same. Crossed to Danok from Bukit Kayu Hitam, the time changed. Logically it doesn’t make sense but that’s the reality. I don’t care. My single vote cannot help, we have to work it on collectively.
I have high hope for my beloved country but if I care too much about this country I can get migraine. Sometimes it’s not worth changing the system when the new systems are even worse than the old systems. Changing is easy but can we adopt change just for the sake of change??
I care for JUSTICE, FREEDOM and I HATE WAR.

PAS Power - the 2nd month.
(Please refer to past entry on PAS Power dated 1 July 2009).
1 July 2009 – OTK approach another of my friend and coax him to take over the Van Jenazah. My friend rejected and OTK negotiated with him to take over for fifteen days and the rest he covered. Flatly my friend rejected too. OTK seem to be stuck singlehandedly with the Van Jenazah and he simply cannot leave the Kampong. My friend told him to refer to the Ketua Kampong as he is not the person concern for OTK to air his predicament. It was of his own doing that he got into the mess. That’s the trouble when one decides without thinking of the consequences.
Ustaz Riduan Md Nor, PAS invitee Preacher supposed to preach between the Maghreb and isyakh prayer but he could not make it. He instead sends a replacement that nobody recognized, not even the PAS people. These PAS Preachers never want to miss the opportunity because they are paid in the region of RM 100 – RM 150 depending where they come from. Most of them were barred from preaching in the Mosque during BN era. The replacement Ustaz went home without preaching.
2 July 2009 – I noticed at the Notice board, the Friday prayer collection of 29 June 2009 was RM 1680.00. Wow, that’s good, doubling the amount of previous Friday and surpass the normal collection of between RM 1200.00 – 1300.00. I hope they did not include collectively the other funds as well. It used to be separated before.
4 July 2009 – I saw the photograph of the Marhaban Group was back at the Notice Board. Good, at least the Committee members know how to appreciate the Mosque activities. They had now come back to their senses not until they were confronted of their not so call smart action.
5 July 2009 – The dateline given by the Committee to the New Mosque Committee had surpassed but the hand over did not materialized. JAIS and OBD were consulted and were advised the New Mosque Committee would remain status quo. I would like to see what would be their next course of action. I suspect they would not just let their failure stood there.
I received the amended monthly activity list for July 2009. Listed are twenty seven Ustaz and one Ustazah. Out of the twenty seven Ustaz, fifteen are new faces, newly invitee of PAS, which constitute of more than 50%. There would be thirty six sessions altogether. An average of RM 100 per preacher, the total monthly cost would be around RM 3,600.00. I hope the Committee knows about budget control. By the end of the year if all the kuliah and the ceramah ugama are attended, one can become an Ulamak.
6 July 2009 – Committee Meeting after Isyakh - the salient agenda was about the failed handover of the New Mosque affair to the present Committee. The Committee Members except the four Imams and one member were utterly disappointed. The Committee would pursue legal action against the New Mosque Committee.
Many others issues were brought up mainly about the Ramadan “bubur lambok”, tahlil arwah, announcing of names pre tahlil, overcharging of kereta jenazah and Korban was also brought up which is months away. The priority should be on Ramadan program. I understand the Meeting was “cha cha marba” and was in complete chaos, bypassing of meeting agenda and the Nazir lacking proper meeting procedures. Some Committee Members were avoiding appointment as Bureau Chairman accorded to them. The Nazir and the Secretary happily appoint and allocate so that they can clean their hands off.
The Chief Imam requested that the normal program of the Mosque during Ramadan should continue as usual during the coming Ramadan. However some Committee member rejected the idea as certain program, so declared by them contravene to Islamic theology, bida’ah….where the Holy Prophet (pbuh) did not practiced. I hope they understand fully the meaning of bida’ah. Agreed, during the time of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) there was no bubur lambuk, but during our era, the bubur lambuk serves as a sedekah for Muslims who are fasting. Feeding a Muslims who are fasting would be rewarded with Allah blessings. Almighty Allah knows the nawaitu. Holy Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) spread Islam without any payment, just four dates and a grip full of wheat. He rode on a camel. Why is our modern Ustaz driving a Mercedes and get paid RM 120 – RM 150??? Is it not bida’ah? I beg to differ if I am wrong.
The Nazir confessed that he is not really well versed with Islamic theology and Imam No 4 warned him that as a Nazir it should not be case. To be a Nazir is not simple as its sounds. His knowledge of Islam should be at least quite near as an Imam or perhaps be an Imam himself during the Imam absence.
As advised by the Imam, heading the Korban Bureau should be the Nazir himself. The tasks require of the highest responsibilities and accountability. The Nazir appointed the representative from the Balai Bomba Surau but he declined. Then the Nazir turned to Imam No 2 but he too declined. As I see it, the Nazir would just like to delegate and any hiccup the fingers would be pointed at the Bureau Chairman.
Imam No 3 brought up the issue of overcharging by OTK and the Ketua kampong promised to look into it. As a matter of fact the Ketua kampong was just bullshitting as he is very well in the know that OTK charged RM 200 and had handed RM 100 to him. Why need further investigation when the money of RM 200 was handed to OTK at the presence of Imam No 2.
Imam No 2 reminded the Committee that they had not received their monthly allowance for June 2009.
The Meeting adjourned way after midnight.
7 July 2009 – Immediately after the Meeting, between 0030 hrs and 0130 hrs, the Nazir and the Secretary instructed the removal of the New Mosque Notice Board. They were exhibiting their displeasure that the Committee did not get to handle the New Mosque affair. Someone pointed to me about the missing notice board pre Maghreb prayer. The obvious reason, it was posted on the notice board the “reply letter” to the Nazir of reasons why the handover could not be acted upon. It was stated in the letter, as per OBD and Pengarah JAIS the New Mosque Committee would remain status quo and the handover is not necessary. Since the Committee does not want the congregation to know the reasons, the whole notice board was removed. The Notice board is a cabinet like with glass pane and under lock and key. The key is with the Siak No 1. Lu fikir lah sendiri. This is childish. Someone commented that, it is better if they carry the Mosque away and I replied, no way Jose, this House of Allah does not belong to them. I patronize this Mosque since late 1977 and frequent since 1984 when I moved to the neighborhood. I doubt they understand the concept of a Mosque. In the House of Allah one must show patient, friendly, tolerant and positive perception with everybody. I regret that they do not realize the impact and perception of their own blatant childish action. If this type of behaviors they protrude, I doubt they could last their term.
Be a perfect Islamic gentleman, if there is any disputes take it to a muzakarah. It is written in the Al Koraan. The new Mosque still do not exist yet, why all the fuss and quarrel? On site, the construction pilings left abandoned and insyaalah work would resume soon. The Committee should just concentrate on the management of the current Mosque and leave it to the New Mosque Committee to do their job. After all, the New Mosque Committee is very well verse with the Mosque project from day one and they started from zero. Once the Mosque is completed and Pakatan Rakyat still the Master in Selangor, the completed New Mosque would surely be handed to them. I don’t know why they adamantly want to manage the New Mosque affair? My guess, there is about RM 300,000.00 under its account. That’s plenty of money to juggle around!!! My other guess, the Nazir and the Secretary want to get even with the former Nazir who is the current Chairman of the New Mosque Committee. I don’t need to go into details why. If the heart is full of malice, actions tend to be irrational and Allah forbids. As Leaders as well as staunch PAS members they should be exemplary. We can show strength at Kelab Dangdut but at the Mosque the approach should be Islamic diplomacy. They can’t even handle the Khairat Kematian and now they want to handle the New Mosque? They had robbed the Kereta Jenazah is good enough to reflect on their integrity. I hope someone tell them there are only 30 PAS members in the Kampong and don’t try to be the hero of the residents.
8 July 2009 – Ustaz Wan Hamidi Wan Mat, new Preacher of PAS invitee came to preach at the Mosque in between Maghreb and Isyakh. I prefer to sit outside the Mosque main hall as the public address system is clearly audible than the main hall. I noticed after the Isyakh prayer the donations box was not passed to the congregation for donations. Later someone told me that the donation box had moved around among the congregation in the main hall while Ustaz Wan Hamidi was preaching. That someone related to me, Imam No 2 was so embarrassed when the box came to him as he neither brought any money or no small change available, I think. He and the congregation in general did not realize that the Committee was going to implement the new system of collection that similar to PAS culture during their political campaign. Anything that the past Committee implemented had to be change. The new system – everybody would notice (if you sit in front) that you do not contribute when the box come to you. In other word, the new system compels you to contribute if you want to avoid embarrassment.
One of the Committee members closed the preaching session by words of encouragement to all attendees and hopes that sooner more Muslims would be wearing the white skull cap. Is the white skull capping the symbol of Islam? You don’t have to wear a white skull cap to be a true Muslims. It’s all in the heart and deeds. This particular chap usually wearing a pointed skull white cap which normally worn by “Sufi Member” in Medina. These people are Islamic scholars and experts on “tasawuf” and Islamic theology. Is he qualified to wear the same as the Sufi Member? Islam should not be a Photostat machine, just can copy anything. In Islam, you must be knowledgeable when you want to do something. In Malaysia the symbol of a white skull cap is PAS. To them wearing a white skull cap make them more Islamic than any other Muslim?? I have noticed a rapist and a murderer wearing a white skull cap appearing in court for trial. The morale of the story: You must know what you are talking about, especially in the House of Allah.
9 July 2009 – The Imam was handed their allowance and they got only RM 75.00 per Imam compared to the previous Committee the Imam got RM 200.
.
10 July 2009 – Friday prayer – Haji Sabtu placed the donations boxes at alternate three rows for contingency if the boy did not turn up to collect the Friday collection. On seeing this, the Nazir went and collect the boxes in the midst of Ustaz Ghazali Sirat delivering his pre Friday prayer preaching. He sent back the boxes to the Azan Room. To me, he has no respect for the Ustaz.
11 July 2009 – Committee Meeting: During the forthcoming Ramadan, the solat sunat terwikh would be only 8 rakaat instead of 20. After the 8 rakaat, tazkirakh would be conducted. Though the Imam wanted to continue with the usual practiced of 20 rakaat, the Nazir adamantly insist on only 8. The announcement of names for the nightly tahlil would be abolished. There is a possibility; bubur lambuk would not be available. During previous years the former Committee collected RM 3 per head per night for the tahlil and the money collected was to expense the cost of cooking the bubur lambuk for the distribution to the kampong people as sedekah, feeding people who fast during Ramadan. The present Mosque Committee claim they are short of finance but then why so many Ustaz came calling at this Mosque to preach? Every Ustaz is being paid.
13 July 2009 – Immediately after the Maghreb prayer the Imam conducted a tahlil and I saw the Nazir and one of the Committee Member (the white pointed skull capper) left the jemaah and proceeded with their sunat Maghreb. You call these people Leaders of the Mosque?? Is tahlil also bida’ah?
14 july 2009 – Immediately after the Maghreb prayer the Imam conducted a tahlil again but this time the Nazir stayed put with the Jemaah. Probably he felt embarrassed to leave because yesterday some of the Jemaah were looking at him when he prayed the sunat Maghreb and the Imam was conducting a tahlil upfront.
I noticed before the Maghreb prayer, the Nazir was busy arranging the children where to pray. Hello….that’s not the Nazir job. The Mosque has three Siaks. Where are they? That’s the Siak job to arrange the children. The Nazir don’t even know the job specification of his own Committee. I doubt he even know his own function as a Nazir.
15 July 2009 – The New Mosque Committee once wrote to the Mosque Committee for permission to use the Mosque Meeting Room to conduct their Meeting but was flatly rejected and permission not granted. This is a blatant miscarriage of the purpose of a Mosque. All Muslims are free to use any of the Mosque facilities provide ample formalities are met and the usage do not detrimental to Islam. Very much regret, they think the Mosque belong to them or to specific individuals.
16 July 2009 – I met Imam No 4 at the Pasar Malam and disappointingly told me he had given up and let the Committee proceed whatever they want to do regarding Ramadan Mosque activities.
Normally on Thursday Maghreb (the night of Friday) the Chief Imam would conduct a Yasin recitation followed with tahlil arwah as requested by certain individuals. Tonight a new PAS Ustaz on invitation delivered his preaching instead. I saw the Chief Imam left immediately after the sunat Maghreb prayerand came back later. During the tenure of the previous Committee only the first Thursday night of the month they invited a Preacher.
17 July 2009 – I was away in KL during the Friday prayer and what I gathered from my friend who attended the prayer, copy letter from the New Mosque Committee to the present Mosque Committee was distributed to the congregation. Now the congregation understands why the Nazir and the Secretary instructed the removal of the Notice Board.
No more schoolboys collecting the Friday prayer donations. Now OTK and Bilal 3 did the collecting job during the khutbah. Didn’t they know that khutbah is a rukun in a Friday prayer? Instead of listening to the khutbah they are busy collecting donations.
I understand, all the Imams got back their normal monthly allowances. Good…..at least the Nazir, the Secretary and the Acting Treasurer have come back to their senses.
18 July 2009 to 20 July 2009 – I was away in Indonesia.
However during a Forum in the Mosque (israk mikraj) as related by my friend the pointed skull capper was the Chairman. The joke was he was referred as Ustaz by the visiting member of the Panel. Ustaz?? Oh my God! Doesn’t he felt shy? An ordinary man with a pointed skull cap and a beard is address as an Ustaz?? I would love to wear the pointed skull cap and I do have beard so that everybody can address me as Ustaz. BUT….I knows who I am and I know how knowledgeable I am on Islam. I know where to put myself.
21 July 2009 - Before the Maghreb prayer I saw my friend and neighbor Capt Bakar, MAS Pilot was busy in the Mosque as he was supervising the fixing of a new PA systems in the Mosque. I understand he is sponsoring the installation. Good for him and good for all members of the congregation. Thank you Captain, for sponsoring RM 13,000.00 worth of public address system and May Allah bless you for the good deed. However, I fail to see the rationale of changing the PA system as it was still good and functioning well. Moreover, a new Mosque would be completed within two years, insyaalah. The money could be reserved to install the PA at the New Mosque. Perhaps, Captain Bakar was coaxed to sponsor as the Committee wanted to change everything all from the previous Committee. I just hope the Committee does not change the rukun in praying at the Mosque. Who knows, they might want us to sujud three times instead of two?
Ustaz Yusri was the Preacher for the night. This Ustaz was an old timer from the regime of the former Committee. The crowd was small; PAS members did not interested to attend. The Nazir was missing and the present Committee that present sat outside. The pointed skull cap, suppose to be the Chairperson who does the introduction was also missing. This is the problem……PAS followers would only come to the Mosque only with the presence of PAS nominated Ustaz.
23 July 2009 – At the Pasar Malam, I met Raja Nazri the Chairman of the saham wakaf kampong and the former in charge of the Kereta Jenazah. I asked him what the latest is and he told me the Ketua Kampong came to his house and declared that he would return the Kereta Jenazah but up to date he did not realized his words. It is well proven here that the Ketua Kampong tongue is like a snake. His words cannot be trusted. He even declared the same to the former Nazir.
It is malam Jumaat and no Yasin recitation. Instead the Committee brought in Ustaz Badrul Amin to preach. I saw two tables full of CD on sale in the Mosque and some are political CD. I happened to ask the Chairperson (the pointed skull capper) whether it is all right to do this CD sale in the Mosque and he said no problem. This is obviously a new culture in this Mosque. I just walked away.
24 July 2009 – During the Friday Prayer, the new PA system was put to use. Unfortunately the speakers adjacent to the Main Hall were either not switched on or somebody did not know how to operate the new system switches. Thus the congregation who prayed outside the Main Hall did not clearly hear the Imam delivering the khutbah and the praying recitation.
The best joke, OTK one of the donation collectors during Friday prayer dare not passed in front of me. I don’t care a damn about this Ahli Majlis Fatwa cum Robber/Driver of Van Jenazah.
Before Asar prayer none of the Bilal turned up at the Mosque to call for the azan. Imam No 2 instructed Haji Sabtu to call the azan. OTK was seen unhappy but Imam No 2 took all responsibilities as no Bilal was around. Bilal No 3 only turned up when Haji Sabtu had started calling the azan. That’s the problem; they want position but neglect their responsibilities. A Bilal should be available at the Mosque way before prayer time. The Nazir should tabulate a SOP (standard operating procedure) or job specification and distribute to all concern.
Before Maghreb, I saw the New Mosque Donation Safe hole was blocked and locked. The motive is not to allow any one donating to the New Mosque. We asked Siak No 1 and he said he was instructed by the Nazir to lock it and the key is in his custody. We don’t blame Siak No 1 for he was only doing his job as instructed by the Nazir. Ya Allah, we still have this type of human being in this world? Preventing someone from doing a good cause for the House of Allah in the House of Allah? My vocabulary exhausted to describe this type of man. Is he a Muslim?
Haji Sutrisno is teaching tajweed in the Mosque. The Chairperson, the white pointed skull capper was missing and so as the Nazir. Imam No 2 had to act as Chairperson. As I see it, this is the problem; there is no consistency on Pas members’ attitude. They would only actively participate only when the Ustaz is from their clan, from PAS.
26 July 2009 – Afternoon I was invited by Imam No 2 for khenduri tahlil at his residence and the Secretary of the New Mosque told me that after subuh this morning he requested from Siak No 1 the key to the New Mosque Donation Safe and he unlocked the lock. The Secretary is now keeping the key. If the Nazir is not happy the Secretary can be referred to. The confrontation is nearing the boiling point. My gut feeling, the Nazir would find a new lock and key and lock back the New Mosque Donation safe.
Committee Meeting: Terawikh prayer as usual 20 rakaat (no change). Tahlil would be immediately after Isyakh and before Terawikh prayer (change). There would be tazkirah after Maghreb prayer (change). No specific charge for tahlil (change). Expenses on bubur lambuk are from sponsorship and the tahlil sedekah (half change). Announcement of names for tahlil abolished (change).
27 July 2009 – After Maghreb I was informed by one of the New Mosque Committee that sometimes last week, the Nazir, Secretary and the Acting Treasurer went to Bank Muamalat in Klang and requested the account of the New Mosque to the transferred to the existing Mosque and they claimed that they are the New Mosque Committee. There was no letter of Resolution and no Minutes of any Meeting confirming of any changes pertaining to the account. The Bank flatly rejected and they went home empty handed. The Acting Treasurer was once a Bank Officer (as claimed) who recently took VSS. Does he not know the banking procedure regarding transfer of an account? He must be plain dumb not to advise the Nazir and the Secretary that without proper documents and procedures the transfer would be impossible. What was he in the banking entity? I can now derive an opinion that the Mosque Committee is only interested after the about RM 300,000.00 in the coffer. If this money falls into their hands, God knows what would happen?
My suggestion making everybody happy: Transfer the account under the custody of JAIS and I bet you, they would be no more interested to take over the New Mosque.
I saw the New Mosque Donation Safe hole remain accessible to Donaters. Well and good and I hope the Nazir would not sealed it again.
28 July 2009 – The New Mosque Committee Meeting held at OBD Meeting Room in Klang. The New Mosque Committee was barred from conducting any meeting at the Mosque Meeting Room as per Nazir instruction.
The new list of August preaching sessions circulated. There would be a total of 31 sessions including 3 for Women. Four (4) of the sessions would be tazkirah after the Maghreb prayer during Ramadan. I wonder how many people would attend as majority are breaking fast at home and congregate at the Mosque when the Bilal call the Isyakh azan. The tazkirah after Maghreb prayer during Ramadan was never ever practiced at this Mosque.
When I looked at the list, I noticed something that was wrong. The Chief Imam signature looked very peculiar and the Chief Imam did not put on his usual official stamp. Was the signature forged? I don’t know and not pointing fingers but it’s indeed strange.
29 July 2009 – It was after Maghreb and I had completed the sunat Maghreb prayer when YB Badrul walked in with a camera (handphone?) and took the photograph of the table full of food items on sale in the Mosque. The reasons why YB Badrul took the photo, I don’t know.
Ustaz Abdullah Iraqi was the Preacher of the night. Before the Mosque being taken over by the Committee, Ustaz Abdullah Iraqi was only preaching at Markas PAS. Now that the PR Government had taken over Selangor, Ustaz Abdullah Iraqi status had been upgraded and now allowed preaching in the Kampong Mosque. PAS followers from other Mosques came to hear the preaching and the congregation was exceptional large. Towards the end of the preaching, Ustaz Abdullah Iraqi called on the congregation to stand up, saying praise to the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and simultaneously to embrace each other and apologies to each other. This reminds me of the motivational seminar I used to attend when I was serving a corporate entity. I reserve my comment on this but let me say one…..if this behavior is really practiced and implemented by the Malays, there is no such political party such as PAS and UMNO exist today. PAS and UMNO would not be at loggerhead and the Malays are united in this country. If one is reading this blog meticulously then, one can follow the sequence of events where PAS is at vengeance with UMNO at this Mosque in particular. Ustaz Abdullah Iraqi should educate his PAS mates how to live harmoniously with fellow Muslim irrespective of political ideology, eradicating vengeance and exhibit the exemplary character of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) in human relations.
31 July 2009 – The Van Jenazah has not been returned to the Amanah Saham Kampong. It’s been two months since.
