Conveying Our Disapointment.

On 26 January 2010 the regular Jemaah of Masjid Kampong Raja Uda requested for a dialogue with Tuan Haji Ismail Arshad after the Maghreb prayer. Haji Ismail is the Klang PAS Yang DiPertua cum Ketua PAS Kampong Raja Uda cum Council Member of Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK). With the present portfolio, he stands as the most prominent personality in the Kampong being Pakatan Rakyat is the State Government of the day.

The question was: Why the New Mosque Notice Board which was reinstalled the previous night was removed? Since Haji Ismail Arshad, attended the meeting at PAID, he knows the outcome of the Meeting of which PAID had agreed that the New Mosque Protem Committee can proceed business as usual. On that aspect there was justification for the Jemaah to reinstall the Notice Board which was removed on 7 July 2009 as instructed by the Nazir and the Secretary.

The answer: Haji Ismail Arshad asked the Jemaah to refer the matter to the Ketua Kampong.

My Reply: (In my heart, WTF!). The Ketua Kampong seldom comes to the Mosque. Previously he avoided the Mosque as he disagreed with the previous Mosque Committee. Now with the present Committee of his own people (PAS Members) I don’t understand why he still avoids the Mosque. It is very difficult for us to convey our dissatisfaction to the Ketua Kampong.

Haji Ismail Arshad looked confused (scared?) himself as he was surrounded by several Jemaah. I even showed Haji Ismail my PAS Membership Card to indicate that this was PAS member talking. He then left the Mosque abruptly and never attended the Isyakh prayer. I had to calm down Wahab who was steaming but instead I was beginning to pick up momentum of emotion. Before Haji Ismail Arshad left, I spoke to him privately that for the past six (6) months ever since the Notice Board was removed and left idle in the Meeting Room, the Jemaah remain quiet, disciplined and now, since he himself knows that the Protem Committee is valid, it was fair that the Jemaah reinstalled the Notice board to its original place for good purposes. So…..what’s the problem? The Notice Board is just a Notice Board and does not harm anybody. The Notice Board would tell all the Jemaah the construction development of the New Mosque. Is that no bloody good? KMA. The Mosque is for all Muslims just like PAS for ALL.

Since someone removed it, we now want that someone to reinstall it. We don’t care whether Haji ismail agree or otherwise. We apply simple logic. It was removed and we kindly reinstalled and now removed, what do you expect us to do? Tug of War is only a sporting event in school sports and we are no more in schools. We are in the Mosque. YBM.

For the record, while the Jemaah reinstalled the Notice Board on 26 January 2010 pre Marhaban activity there were two (2) Pas Spy hanged around in the Mosque. We did things openly unlike them who has no balls only waiting for the opportune time when there was no one in the Mosque. The removal of the New Mosque Notice Board was reported to JAIS immediately after words spun around. The Notice Board is like Chipsmore biscuit: Now you see it, now you don’t.

28 January 2010 Thursday night: During tahlil and recitation of Yasin, Nazir, Secretary and Ketua Kampong were nowhere to be seen. Haji Ismail Arshad however was around so as the Treasurer who dare not even sit along with the imam as the Mosque Committee Member. He chose a place somewhere at the back.

Upon completion of the tahlil, yours truly confronted Haji Ismail Arshad and asked him where the Ketua Kampong is? He is not around? He looked stunned with my question and out of word. I just walked off, WTF. As the Penasihat (Advisor) of the Mosque it is appropriate for the Ketua Kampong to be present at the Mosque at every Malam Jumaat. Mosque Advisor? Your perception is as good as mine. I hope Haji Ismail conveyed the message to the Yang Bertugas Datok Ketua Kampong.

My eldest sister.

I lost my eldest sister when she passed away on 26 January 2010 (10 Safar 1431 Hirah) between 1900 hrs to 2000 hrs. I got the message just after the isyakh prayer while I was at the Mosque. I made few inquiries and inform some of my clansmen. My cousin Jeffrul Tariqh agreed to pay his last respect and suggested my wife and I hop into his car. That was a very good and receptive idea.

Hajjah Haslah binti Haji Abdul Hamid was born on 18 December 1931 and she demised at the age of 78. She left behind a son and two daughters. She drew her last breath at my nephew residence in Teluk Intan. Hajjah Haslah was a Kebajikan Masyarakat (KEMAS) Instructor and the wife of a Clerical staff at one of the Penghulu’s Office in Teluk Intan District.

I arrived at Teluk Intan at about 1100 hrs when her body was undergoing the ritual cleansing. We took her casket to Simpang Empat Mosque and I took the opportunity to accompany her all the way to the Mosque. Soon after zohor, joined by the local residents we performed the solat jenazah. Hajjah Haslah was finally laid to rest at Jalan Sultan Abdullah Cemetry, plot No: 292 on 27 January 2010 at 1430 hrs (11 Safar 1431 Hirah).

I was glad that all her brothers, sisters and children were present to pay the last respect. Number of nephews and nieces from near and far also took time off to attend her funeral.

I regret that due to obesity, her knees could not withstand the pressure and she was not able to stand up and walk. I had fond memories of her during the initial stage of her ailment when I took her to consult an Acupuncturist in Klang. The Doctor prescribed some Chinese medicines from the Chinese Medical Store and she was reluctant to consume the stew as the “tree bark” looked like a snake’s skin. It took me sometimes to convince her that it was a “tree bark” after all, all the way from China. She came for a couple of appointments and after that she gave up.

Time had caught up with her and Allah had summoned her to go back where she was created. I am please that she suffer no more and able to stand up straight facing the Almighty. The talqin as narrated, “Hai Hajjah Haslah binti Hajjah Bee, jangan lah kamu gentar, bahawa mati itu ada lah benar dan kepada Nya kamu telah dikembalikan”.

To my Kak Selah, Alfathihah. Amin.

BREAKING NEWS.

Latest at 1310 hrs I received confirmed news from the Mosque that the New Mosque Notice Board had been removed.

Who are the Devils who did it?

Yesterday JAIS Officials had confirmed that the New Mosque Protem Committee is valid. What more do they want?

There are plenty of “syaitans” hanging around in Kampong Raja Uda. We better be careful.

Win Win.

The Meeting at Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah Klang between the Protem Committee of the New Mosque and the Mosque Committee of Kampong Raja Uda on 25 January 2010 Monday had decided that the Protem Committee is valid however the Chairman of the Protem Committee must be from the Mosque Committee. It was unanimously agreed by the Protem committee that Major (Rtd) Haji Bustamam bin Alias@ Elias from the Mosque Committee to be appointed as Chairman of the New Mosque Protem Committee. The Nazir is still not satisfied and would call for the Mosque Committee Meeting to endorse the name. Since a Police Report had been lodged against the Nazir, Secretary and Treasurer, their names were not considered. The validity of the Protem Committee is now solved and no one can label it as HARAM.

Having obtained the HALAL label and confirmed that it is no more HARAM, few of the Mosque qariah took the opportunity to put back the New Mosque Notice Board to its original place on 25 January 2010 after the Isyakh prayer. The Board was taken down on the early morning of 7 July 2009 on the instruction of the Nazir and Secretary. The Notice Board was kept in the Mosque Meeting Room for nearly six (6) months. Now young and old can be updated of the New Mosque construction development.

In actual fact it was a non issue if they had not taken down the Notice Board, locked the Donation Safes and gunned down publicly the former Nazir during the Aidilfitri congregation. The worst scenario when they discreetly changed the signatories at Bank Islam which resulted to a Police Report. Much that I know through my working experience, changing of signatories at the Bank must be supported with authorized documentation. Absent of any is contravening to Banking Procedures. Is it a crime? I leave it to your own judgment.

The misdeeds as described led to a MEMORANDUM to the HRH the Sultan of Selangor and still pending. The citizens of Kampong Raja Uda are currently anxiously waiting for the outcome which is still on the table of MAIS and JAIS. The qariah had been patience and treading the event step by step, one at a time. Confront the problem with sheer diplomacy contrary to being arrogance, as exhibited by some. We have to treat the mosque institution with respect and discipline.

As we enter the Mosque gate, leave the political ideology there and collect it when you exit. You and me are facing the same direction when we solat. The direction is neither Putrajaya nor Rhu Redang. Altogether we are facing Mekah.

Let the win win situation prevail so that when we face Allah in solat during prayers in the Mosque we can give full concentration (khusyuk). The Mosque is not a breeding ground to make neither enemies nor foe and as we stand shoulder to shoulder in the shaf a sign of unity. Don’t create one unnecessary and intentionally.

Whatever we do we are answerable to Almighty Allah and the Almighty knows and know all. Allah knows the “nawaitu” (intentions). Paradise and Hell of Fire is waiting for our arrival depending on which way we want to head to.

Ferdinand is back.

He was back after three (3) months layoff for back injury. I feel more secured for MU when that guy is around at the back.

MU versus Hull at Old Trafford and if MU lose this game, might as well pack off and say good bye to the Barclay Cup. For the first half, Alex send in Owen to partner Rooney and MU managed to score only one goal.

There were few scary moments during the second half, when Hull nearly equalized the score. Finally Berbatov replaced Owen and from then on I saw MU as what it used to be. Rooney got his hatrick and added one more during additional time. Berbatov and Nani played an important role for the 4 – 0 score line.

MU jumped up to the top spot of the Table but Chelsea and Arsenal have games in hand. Rooney currently lead the score list with fifteen (15) goals.

How I wish Tevez was not released.

Since Haiti is in a mess now, Sir Alex should scout for any Haiti good footballers and take them to Old Trafford. Indirectly MU can contribute to ease the burden of the unfortunate people and nation. Who knows, there might be a Ronaldo or Pele among the Haitians?

Obama, one year.

One year in service, he is still around in the White House, all right.

What change has he made? Guatanamo is still in Cuba and still operating. The illegal invasion in Iraq and Afghanistan – there is still no sign of drawing back. He is adding several Muslim countries on the list, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia and probably soon, Iran. Palestine state still do not exist and the Israelis having a field day in Gaza. Reagan told Gorbachev to bring down the Wall but Obama keep quite when Netanyahu intend to erect one at the Egypt/Gaza border.

On his direction he is dropping food and aid in Haiti but dropping bombs in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. I have no complains about the food and the aid to Haiti. The only complain, why the need of 10,000 armed forces to Haiti? The Haitians need Doctors and Nurses not the guys in combat uniforms and M16. The UN Peacekeepers can take care of the security control. Perhaps it is a blessing otherwise the same 10,000 personnel would be deployed to Afghanistan to kill more Afghans.

As I predicted on 20 January 2009 Obama would not change anything or any of the American foreign policy for that matter. The Americans are scared of their own shadow. USA and the West are Islam phobia. It was not the Iraqis and the Afghans that slammed into the Twin Tower. It was some crazy guys who happened to be of Muslim faith that was trained on American soil how to fly. Why did they want to do that? It was not because they hate the American way of democracy. The Americans have the answers but they refused to acknowledge their mistakes. Don’t forget, who supplied the weapons and chemicals to Sadam Hussin to fight the Iranians after Iran kicked out the Shah? Who supplied the weapons and missiles to the Mujahideen in Afghanistan to counter the invasion from Russia? After mission accomplished, the Americans happily went back to base and abandoned Iraq and Afghanistan in shambles. Taliban was invented followed by Al Qaeda.

The prolong conflict between Israel and Palestine since 1948 would not be solve until Doomsday for as long as the Americans and the West is implementing double standards. It is an open secret that Israel has nuclear weapons but Iran, no way. Why not? Iran may attack Israel? Sure they would if Israel remains to suppress the Palestinians.

Obama…….you had completed one year and I hope to see you complete one term. I want to see the changes that you can make before you stand for 2nd term reelection. Six solid years US had invaded and declared your own War with Iraq and Afghanistan but Americans is still not winning. The Russians had learnt their lessons in Afghanistan and they withdrew. They spared the lives of the Afghans as well as their fighting boys and men.

I HATE WAR AND SEEKING FOR WORLD PEACE AND FREEDOM FOR EVERYMANKIND IN THIS WORLD. GOD CREATED HUMAN BEING NOT TO BE KILLED.

Port-au-Prince.

What more can I say? It saddened me when seeing corpses lying everywhere left to rot. Everybody is on its own seeking for their own survival resulting from the earthquake. Food, water and shelter, the basic need to live had gone down with the disaster and everybody seeking for it.

Aid from all over the world came pouring in but the damage to the infrastructures dampens the effort for the people to receive the aid on hand. The airport, the port and land transportation are unable to cope. Helicopters had to be call in and US army had to be mobilize to control the crowd for systematic distribution. There are 4,000 criminals comingling among the crowd the escapee from the destroyed Prison. The injured had to be attended to but the medicines and the medical instruments are within reach but not at the Hospital yet. About 150,000 are already dead, few hundred thousand on the injured list and 300,000 misplaced. 80% of the building at Porte-au-Prince destroyed. The corpses were just dumped into a big hole or just left at the dumping ground. There is no time and facilities for religious rites.

I agree to a suggestion by the Katrina General. Drop the aid quickly, take in the injured and fly off to the nearest Hospital in USA. Ensure that the plane has enough fuel for the return flight as Port-au Prince Airport had already run short of aviation fuel. On doing so, more planes can land within shorter period. On this aspect more aid can be delivered and more injured can be airlifted. A floating Hospital is on the way from Baltimore Maryland. Diplomatic and political protocol should be waived during this time of catastrophe. This is a question of life and death.

CNN, BBC and Aljazeera give me the first hand visuals and as human beings my heart breaks when seeing how cheap a human body can be. There is no more honor to a human body that GOD created.

Haiti…….I am really sorry for you.

A wedding & reunion.

January 16, 2010 I had to leave early for Damansara Heights as the traffic snarl at Klang is very unpredictable. It was not to be to my surprise and I was at Dato Malek, my cousin’s residence as early as 1845 hours when the Program was only supposed to commence at 2000 hrs. After Maghreb we adjourned to the Reception Hall at the nearby Damansara Heights Community Center, adjacent to the Saida Omar Al-Khatab Mosque. The Hall could easily accommodate about 800 guests and ample parking space available. Some guests had already arrived as the direction to the Hall was rather complicated for non KL residence.

It was the wedding reception of Irwan Dato Malek and Nada Kartina Mohd Nor hosted by the bridegroom parents. I was allotted to accompany the Guests from GES Tapah. My wife and daughter were seated with my two elder brothers and wives. My son was unable to attend as he was away on official assignment at Sipadan Island. At my table were Amran Din and wife, Haji Rashid, Jeffrul Tariqh and the rest made up of Irman’s officemates. Dato Malek guests include relatives from Bota, Sungkai and Behrang, the Kanda Abdul Rahman and Haji Hashim clan. Some of them were familiar but some need introduction. I also ran into my old friends, Shukri Abdullah ex Guthrie and Dato Hamid Mustafa ex Police Commissioner. It was kind of a reunion with relatives and long lost friends.

At 2045 hrs the VIP was chaperoned by Uncle Mawi into the Hall followed by the bride and the bridegroom. There was no sound of the “kompang” but the “selawat nabi” directed the couple to the dais. The “merenjis” ceremony was short and simple, performed by Tan Sri Tajudin Ramli and Puan Sri, Tan Sri Bakri Omar and Puan Sri, Encik Mohd Nor and Dato Malek with Datin Zawiyah. The “doa selamat” was read by the Imam of Saidina Omar Al-Khatab Mosque.

Everything went as planned and the weather was good, so as the food which was catered from Sri Catering. After the wedding cake cutting ceremony it was time for the guests to head for the exit but few of us stayed back to comingle with the members of the Kanda Abdul Rahman clan. It was a nostalgic reunion meeting the clansmen as we never know when we can ever meet again. Wedding is the best time to get together not only for the wedded but also for the invitees.

For Dato Malek, I hope sooner Allah would confer you with the Almighty blessing another Datoship. Insyaalah.

Haiti.

My deepest condolence and my sympathy to all those perished during the earthquake. The 7.0 on the Ritcher scale on 12 January 2010 at 1653 hrs could even bring down a beautiful Presidential Palace. The worst affected is the capital Porte-au-Prince with two (2) million inhabitants. Being the poorest country in the Western hemisphere the disaster makes it even catastrophic. They lack the heavy machineries and the contingency team to offer immediate assistance during this type of major emergency.

Last year Haiti was struck with four hurricanes and now an earthquake. Within minute it took about several thousands of life. I cannot imagine I am in Haiti and thank Allah (God) we are away from the ring of fire. Allah (God) bless Malaysia. We may have flood once in a while but life loss normally due to mere carelessness.

What made foreign aid difficult to come by to Porte-au-Price is due to the Airport and its Port. Hundreds of plane coming in to Haiti bringing aid and personnel but due to lack of parking space and fuel in storage the plane had to be diverted. The Airport has only one runaway and the road around the Airport is damage and aid cannot get to the stricken needy. The container crane at the Port is submerging in water and the roads around the Port are also crumbled and inaccessible.

Malaysia should learn a lesson from what is happening in Haiti. We should have our heavy machineries and trained personnel ever ready at any time to address a major disaster. Our Engineering Army personnel should be mobilizing at the first instance to repair damage roads and construct bridges.

At Porte-au-Prince someone must be in charge to coordinate the relief assistance. The United Nations or the American who has the experience on handling major disaster should be given a free hand to handle the situation. Politic and formalities should be put aside for the time being as human life is at stake. With everybody from various countries coming in to Haiti to offer assistance but without coordination it would be chaotic. Doctors, Nurses, medical equipment and medicines should come to the people soonest otherwise more life would be lost due to non attendance. There are hundreds with broken bones and broken hearts.

In a major disaster like this, unity is important. Priority should be given to save life and not for self interest. Breed, color and religion should be put aside to offer assistance for the sake of mankind.

Malaysia and Haiti is far distance away, half the globe away. We still can offer assistance in term of funds or in kinds. Those who are filthy rich, I hope they can spare some thoughts the suffering of the Porte-au-Prince inhabitants. For we will never know, today is them and tomorrow may be ours. It can happen within minute and our life change forever.

To those who are affected directly or indirectly by the earthquake in Haiti, I hope they can be patience and I wish them all the best for their well beings.

To the foreign personnel who are in Haiti right now to offer assistance of all kinds, I congratulate you for sparing your time for the sake of mankind.

One American talking sense.

By: Patrick J. Buchanan.

Quote:

“We are at war. We are at war against al-Qaeda, a far-reaching network of violence and hatred that attacked us on 9/11, that killed nearly 3,000 innocent people and that is plotting to strike us again.”

Thus did Barack Obama clear the air as to whether we are at war, and with whom and why.

Following his remarks, during a White House briefing by National Security Council aide John Brennan, Helen Thomas asked a follow-up question to which we almost never hear an answer:
Why is al-Qaeda at war with us? What is its motivation?

It was Osama bin Laden himself, in his declaration of war in 1998, published in London, who gave al-Qaeda’s reasons for war:

First, the U.S. military presence on the sacred soil of Saudi Arabia.
Second, U.S. sanctions causing terrible suffering among the Iraqi people.
Third, U.S. support for Israel’s dispossession of the Palestinians.

“All these crimes and sins committed by the Americans are a clear declaration of war on God, his Messenger, and Muslims,” said Osama.

He began his fatwa quoting the Koran: “But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war.”

To Osama, we started the war. Muslims, the Ulamak, must fight because America, with her “brutal crusade occupation of the [Arabian] Peninsula” and support for “the Jews’ petty state” and “occupation of Jerusalem and murder of Muslims there” was waging war upon the Islamic world.

Terrorism, the direct killing of civilians for political ends, is al-Qaeda’s unconventional tactic, but its war aims are quite conventional.

Al-Qaeda is fighting a religious war against apostates and pagans in their midst, a civil war against collaborators of the Crusaders and an anti-colonial war to drive us out of the Dar al-Islam. On Sept. 11, they were over here – because we are over there.

Nothing justifies the massacre of Sept. 11. But these are the political goals behind the 9/11 attack, and this is why Islamists fare well in elections in the Middle East. Tens of millions of Muslims, who may despise terrorism, identify with the causes for which Osama declared war – liberation of Muslim peoples from pro-American autocrats and Israeli occupiers.

Americans are being killed for the reasons Osama said we should be killed – not because of who we are, but because of where we are and what we do.

Consider. America lost 4,000 soldiers in six years in Iraq, with 30,000 wounded. Yet not one American of the 125,000 soldiers in Iraq was killed in December. Why not? Because we no longer conduct raids, patrol streets, kick down doors, and pat down suspects. We have ended our combat operations, withdrawn to desert bases, and seem anxious to go home. When we stopped fighting and killing them, they stopped fighting and killing us.

Most Americans today appear content to let Shia and Sunni, Arab and Kurd decide the future of Iraq. And if they cannot settle their quarrels without a civil-sectarian war, why should their war be our war?

According to Gen. Barry McCaffrey, we must now prepare for 300 to 500 dead and wounded every month in Afghanistan by summer.

Why are the Taliban killing our soldiers? Because we threw them out of power, took over their country, and imposed the Hamid Karzai regime, and our troops, some 100,000 by fall, are the force preventing them from recapturing their country. We will bleed in Afghanistan as long as we are in Afghanistan.

But if, as Obama said, “we are at war with al-Qaeda,” why are we fighting Taliban when al-Qaeda is in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and North Africa?

Hamas has used terrorism, but not against us. Hezbollah has used terrorism, but not against us since the bombing of the Marine barracks, a quarter-century ago. And our Marines were attacked in Lebanon because we were in Lebanon, intervening in their civil-sectarian war. Had the Marines not been sent into the midst of that war, they would not have been targeted.
When Ronald Reagan withdrew them, the attacks stopped.

Like Europe’s Thirty Years’ War – among Germans, French, Czechs, Dutch, Danes, Swedes, Scots, and English, Catholics and Protestants, kings, princes, and emperors – the Muslim world is roiled by conflicts between pro-Western autocrats and Islamic militants, Sunni and Shia, modernists and obscurantist, nationalities, tribes and clans. The outcome of these wars, the future of their lands – is that not their business, and not ours?

The Muslims stayed out of our Thirty Years’ War. Perhaps we would do well to get out of theirs. But as long as we take sides in their wars, those we fight and kill over there will come to kill us over here.

This is payback for our intervention. This is the price of empire. This is the cost of the long war.

Queue up, please!

It really cheesed me off. I was at Maybank queuing up at the reception counter for my number. The Receptionist had to attend to something with a Customer and here come one Chinese gentleman approached the numbering machine and served himself. When the Receptionist was back at the counter, one young Malay lad bypassed me for some service and I told him straight on the face that it was my turn and he should wait for his.

Business done and I got to collect an application form at the same reception. I stood in line as per normal and one middle aged Malay lady out of the blue bypassed everybody came to ask for her number from the Receptionist. I tapped her shoulder and told her to stand behind and wait for her turn. Everybody had a business to do and she was so impatient and unethical. It was still early and the Bank was not going to close up of the days’ operation.

What’s wrong with you, Malaysian? Can’t you wait for your turn? Why are you so impatient?

We ought to teach our children to queue up. Later on if they travel overseas in foreign countries they will suffer cultural shock. It reflects firstly on the upbringing and secondly the country you originate.

The numbering systems for service at the Bank, Hospitals and Government Department is applaud however the Government should implement a nationwide campaign to teach the people to queue up. BUT, don’t forget while queuing up please give preference to the disable and the weakly senior citizens (like me?). It doesn’t cost you to be humble.

Education begins at home and this simple thing is the parents job to implant in their children’s brain so that they grow up as a discipline citizens of the country.

Dont stir up a hornets' nest.

When I was a small kid growing up in the kampong there were lot of hornets nest among the mango and rambutan trees, My Grandfather used to tell me don’t disturb the hornets nest. Boys being boys and when they got together roaming around in the kampong one little mischievous boy tried to be smart and displayed his rubber elastic skill. All hell broke loose and I got stung on the head. That was part of growing up and I learnt my lesson.

Later on at the English Literature class I was taught the phrase, “Don’t stir the hornets nest” and in simple explanation by Mr. Felix Matthews that we should not find unnecessary trouble and let things as status quo.

During the tenure of my working life there were times I don’t disturb the hornets nest and there were time I did disturb when things need to be changed. However when I disturbed I justify the reasons and if for the betterment for all concern, why not? The Laborers wanted their pay in the usual term in cash but I told them through the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) they could control their expenditures and they can withdraw their money anytime and anywhere in case their pocket money ran short. At the same time the risk of the Paymaster carrying plenty of cash from the Bank was eliminated. Deep within me my sole intention was to prevent them from gambling and drinking away their just received hard earned cash monthly salaries.

For umpteen years before I took over the Complex someone erected an altar by one big tree. They erected a nice shed for “Dato Komando” to reside and to look after their well being, so they believed. Once in a while the Laborers fed Dato Komando with apples and oranges. I don’t bother at all and let things as status quo. What if I instruct to remove basing on my religious belief and my position as in the Authority?

Today………..some people say lets change the Government and some say NO. Let things remain status quo as the country is peaceful and alhamdulillah that we are free from natural disasters. No country in the world is like Malaysia, multiracial and multi religions. I think we should not disturb the hornets nest. Some may disagree, who cares? This is a democratic country and I am entitle to my own opinion. How sure we are the new Government is for the betterment for all Malaysian? There are a lot of unsatisfied people out there and presently the Government has within its law to condone those people. The country cannot please everybody. Not only the multiracial issues, also has to address the multi religions. You can do this, you can do that but it is easy to say that done.

The mere fact, peace prevails is of prime importance and that’s what everybody wants so that people can go out peacefully looking for bread and butter to feed the family. If the country goes crazy the people would because the family is hungry.

My Grandfather had gone back forty (40) years ago but what he told me sixty (60) years ago there is a truth in it.

Alfathihah for the Grand Old Man.

(For those who read this, please read between the lines. Do we need to disturb the hornets nest??)

Alex did it again.

Birmingham versus MU, Alex did it again and he sent in short little fellow for the first half, Rafael and Pak Ji Sung. Birmingham was smart, they send in high balls to MU goalmouth and at one of the corner kick Birmingham scored. MU was camping at Birmingham half but they could not penetrate. The build up to score goals was slow, back passing and possessive football and Birmingham had the time in the world to cover the fort. Hart was keeping goal for Birmingham and this young lad was trying to look impressive for a place to South Africa for the World Cup. By the look of it he stands a good chance.

As I commented earlier anybody who faces MU would perform extra effort just for the glory of beating MU. Birmingham just did that and they have tall players to their advantage against MU. Birmingham was one up at half time.

It was lucky during the second half in one of the MU raid, an own goal was scored. It was then level and I was hoping Alex would send in his best reserve to clinch victory. Instead he send in an old man Ryan Giggs and first timer Diouf. Giggs is a left leg player and suddenly I saw him on the right because Evra was comfortably feeding from the left side. Fletcher who was yellow carded and slightly injured during first half was retained and finally red carded about ten more minutes of playing time.

Kuszcak was outstanding at MU goal post otherwise MU would have travel back with 0 point. He saved several one to one sudden burst situations near the goalmouth. I was happy prior to this game, Arsenal drew with Everton and MU had to beat Birmingham to maintain the second placing. It was not to be and I think age is catching up with Alex Furgueson or something fishy is going on. Final score, 1–1.

I definitely get bored watching MU playing. Tactically there is too much back passing, possessive short passing and kicking back to goalkeeper. MU gives ample time for the opponent to strategize the defense. Football is fun to watch when the game is open. Attacking on the break is the most exciting and if a goal scored that is football all about. I surely miss the hard working bulldozer Carlos Tevez and the on target Ronaldo.

Sir Alex, let me tell you now, Rooney cannot do it all alone now. Everybody wants his favorite team to win. A draw is no good and a loss is hopeless.

Kalimah "Allah".

What the big fuss? Why now they want to use the word "Allah" in their Bahasa Malaysia Bulletin?

I would love to see the reaction of the Christians in American and the world in general when Obama says “May Allah bless America” instead of “May God bless America” during the State of the Union Address. God is Allah, isn’t it?

If the Christians all over the world agree and never say a word to what Obama declare, then I would agree to the usage of the word Allah by the Herald.

I rest my case.

Yemen.

I have not been to Yemen and never intended to. Yemen dispatched an army of elephants to Saudi Arabia to destroy the Kaabah but with the gracious of Allah, the elephant army was destroyed. The Ababir with hot flaming pebbles from its beak dropped on to the elephant fleet and the elephants ran helter skelter. I wonder when Allah is going to do the same on the US and the Allied Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Yemen is hot in the news now where Al Qaeda is congregating and gaining strength by day. The West and Europe is sweating under their pants for the Yemen al Qaeda has a lot under their sleeves. They would be a tremendous threat to the US and European internal security. Across the Red Sea, at Somalia the Al Qaeda ideologies are gaining ground and a menace to maritime transportation. With Al Qaeda operating in partnership from these two nations, Suez Canal can be considered as dead, maritime cost would explode and commodity price would jump sky high.

This got to be check but then how to check on terrorism? Firstly, the West has to find the root of the problem. The root of the problem is the illegal invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, coupled up with the illegal occupation of Israel on Palestinian Land. Islam is no terrorists. They are Freedom Fighters and happen to be Islam. There are Freedom Fighters everywhere from other religions as well. The Tamil Tigers, why they are not branded as Hindu Terrorists? Islam is a taboo to the US and Europe. Switzerland bans the Mosque minarets and France forbids women from wearing hijab. Catholic Nuns wear hijab, so what is the problem with hijab?

To check the so call “Islamic Terrorists” or “Islamic Freedom Fighters” whatever name you want to call them is very simple. Please get out from Afghanistan and Iraq. Free the Palestinians. The Muslims, including me have no more cause to fight and grumble.

Yemen – “Madu Yemen” is famous for its purity and health quality strength? My friend Abdillah in Mekah would specially reserve a bottle or two of exotic quality and they are not cheap. Abdillah would hand to the Haji Ramadhan with a smile on his face. Cheeky Yemeni.

The missing engines.

Bernama Report:

Quote:

Only rank-and-file personnel and not senior military officers were involved in the theft of the two engines of F-5E jet fighters of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail said today (4 January 2010).

He said the decision on whether to charge those involved in the incident would be made "in the very near future".

He also said that all efforts would be made by the government to recover as soon as possible the two missing engines, last traced to Uruguay."We are now engaging into mutual legal assistance procedures with certain countries in trying to get those engines back," he told reporters.

Abdul Gani said the police had completed their investigation into the missing engines, which revealed that they were sent to an address in Subang Jaya, Selangor, on Dec 30, 2007 and Jan 1 last year."The military realised the loss only on May 22, 2008 and, when they found out, they proceeded with the investigation and then on Aug 4, 2008, a police report was made."On May 4, 2008, a container carrying the engines was shipped abroad and we traced it to Argentina, and from Argentina, the engines were offloaded onto another ship to Uruguay," he said.

Abdul Gani said Interpol was aware of the case, and added that he believed that the United States was also aware, based on the published reports.

Asked about the buyer of the engines, Abdul Gani said he could not say anything about that because the investigation for their recovery was still going on.

Asked how much the actual cost of an engine was, he said one should be realistic about it as the jets were bought in 1975. – Bernama

Unquote:

There are many questions arising from the above:

1) Our rank and file personnel in RMAF are that smart? Our SPM and SRP standard must be world class.
2) Our rank and file personnel in RMAF have international connection to dispose the engine? They outsmart the Italian Mafia.
3) If you are dealing with container shipment the flow of operations can be easily traced. The Shipper, the Haulier, the Forwarding Agent, Custom & Eksais DiRaja, Manifest, Bill of Ladindg, Custom Declaration, the Container Ship Carrier and the Consignee. The chain of event is normal to any container shipment everywhere in the world.
4) In the first instance, was the engine really shipped out?
5) Is it possible that the engines had been cannibalized and shipped out into smaller items as spare parts?
6) Is it possible that the cannibalized parts still lying around in Kepong or Jinjang Chinaman Workshop?
7) RM 50 million, the cost of one F-5E engine? It should be cheaper than that.
8) If F-5E engine could go missing from the RMAF inventory, have the Government look into other items that also had gone missing?
9) What sort of security RMAF implement at the entrance to the Store Complex? In and out vehicle not recorded?
10) What sort of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) our RMAF implementing? In particular, store inventories?

In any Installation or complex, stringent security measures must be implemented. The control of in and out is prime important otherwise things can go missing easily. If collusion was the reason then the shipping operations can be referred to. Whatever, the person in charge is still responsible? Though Senior Officers were not involved but they must also take the blame and the accountability.

I am saddened by the lack of trust of certain people whom we entrusted to look after our nation security and wealth. For their personal greed, the nation lost its reputation. Whom can I trust anymore in this country?

At the end of the day, my gut feeling this particular case of the missing F-5E engines would just be a minor episode or just forgotten. The poor Private and Lance Corporal would take the blame and quietly sent to Kajang or Sungai Buloh to take a rest.

I too want to take a rest because I am just plain FED UP. I paid my income tax and cigarettes tax so that the Government could purchase the F-5E to look after my country air space. How can they just bugger up with my hard earned money???

The endless episode.

It was agreed upon between the Ketua kampong and the Amanah Saham Wakaf Kampong Committee that the Van jenazah would be returned to the Amanah Saham Wakaf Committee by end 2009. However, it never happened. The Ketua Kampong was playing Drama Minggu Ini. The Ketua Kampong would never return the Van Jenazah as he is very sore that they fail to be the Administrator of the New Mosque which is under construction.

Raja Nazri drove the Van Jenazah on New Year day when Haji Arshad’s daughter and still born grandchild passed away. We told Raja Nazri to hold on to the Van Jenazah and never to return to the JKKK. As a matter of fact the Orang Besar Daerah (OBD) had instructed the Committee to repossess custody of the Van Jenazah. Anything under saham wakaf should be managed by Non Governmental Organization (NGO).

On 3 January 2010, we were told by Raja Nazri that OTK came to his house twice (2X) requesting and pestering for the Van Jenazah key. Frustrated and did not want to be involved in a tussle of custody and tug of war, Raja Nazri handed the key. A Retired Army Captain did not want to argue with a Serang of a Pilot Boat.

I wonder why these people from PAS seem to be so ignorant of the fact that the Van jenazah does not belong to the Mosque or the JKKK? The Ketua Kampong is one guy who does not fulfill to his promise. They don’t seem to know simple history of the Van Jenazah and OTK is so hard up to drive the Van Jenazah as it would be a source of income to him. The income derives from the Van Jenazah without the pleasure and approval from Amanah Saham Wakaf Committee would be considered as unethical, in the simplest term. I dare not term as “haram” as I am no GOD. Those who contributed to the saham wakaf had delegated and entrusted the Committee to run the show. The Mosque Committee or the JKKK has no legitimate right over the Van Jenazah. Failing to understand that, would jeopardize the akidah.
Note: Majority of the Mosque Committee and JKKK are PAS members.

The Kampong resident’s sentiments are at its boiling point. Some prefer to wait and see and some are reserving in their hearts when PAS never even want to listen and understand to rationales.

Deserved to lose.

The third round of the English FA Cup fixture saw MU got kicked out. They deserved to lose due to over confident and poor strategies of Sir Alex. MU lost 1 – 0 to Leeds United at Old Trafford, MU home ground. What a shame.

Any team who play with MU would display their best effort to down the Red Devils and what Sir Alex should do was to send the best players for the first half, score one or two goals or more then sent in the Rookies in the second half defending the credit.

Sir Alex, repeated the same blunder all over again sending Chicos, like Obertan, Fabio, Gibson, Anderson and Welback very well knowing that the back was very unsteady without Ferdinand, Fletcher, Carrick, Vidic, Evra and Van Der Sar under the goalpost.

MU is now out from the FA Cup.

Though MU is only two (2) points behind the League Leader Chelsea at the Premier League, I doubt MU would be able to hold on to the Barclay Cup in 2010, Without Teves and Ronaldo, I have no hope. There is no more star player in MU except Rooney. Berbatov is too slow. The only advantage, MU has no African Players that would be away participating in the African Cup. Only on that score, MU may be able to overcome several Premier League team during the second session of the EPL.

To be honest, Serbeget Singh used to say and I would like to imitate, there is definitely something fishy with all football matches in the EPL, FA Cup and Carling Cup.

Sir Alex, please stop chewing the gum. Sugar is bad for health. Only cows don’t ever stop chewing.

Surprise encounters.

The family was at PKNS Complex Shah Alam as my wife was looking for samples of varieties door and main table gift. She was looking for the best exquisitely available. After all it is for the only son. I allowed them to take their own sweet time and I entered into a shop selling ornamental house deco and hoping to find something peculiar so that I can add to the house collections. The Owner who was busy with the computer suddenly looked up and addressed my name. I was taken aback for a moment and on the closer look, he was Wahab my old friend in the 60s from Greentown Ipoh.

He offered me a chair and we sat talking about all our friends. Surprisingly my Old Tech senior, Syed Rani used to hang around at Wahab outlet. My wife was at the opposite shop and that belong to Wahab’s brother, Mahmud. Mahmud married to Narimah’s younger sister and the last time I heard about Narimah, an acquaintance stays at Denpasar Bali. What a small world!!

Wahab import all his goods from China and the brother from Bali Indonesia. These two brothers are enterprising Businessmen. Surely at the next outing I would get a good discount. I last met Wahab sometimes in 1992 when he was with Maybank KL.

On the way home, we accidentally missed an exit due to the road work and the new highway took us straight to Alam Perdana a new Housing Estate and to Kampong Jawa Klang. It was entirely a surprising new route to us and completely bypassed the Federal Highway. We encountered something new. Sometimes it’s worth driving around to encounter something new. I have not been following the development around Shah Alam.

01.01.10.

Happy New Year, everybody.

The first write out of 2010.

At the strike of midnight I was at home. Where do you expect I would be at this age? The only thing familiar was the sound of the ship’s horn at the harbor and the fire crackers here and there. It was a silent farewell to 2009. I crossed the year still suffering from a broken heart and bearing the consequential damage of a sleek manipulated plot. Though dejected, I am a Survivor. I leave it to Allah.

At 0300 hrs I wanted to watch the eclipse of the full moon but the black cloud was shielding the moon. I wish and hope my life of 2010 and beyond would not be overshadowed just like the earth was blocking the moon from pouring its glittering beauty.

My wish for 2010 – stop the bloody WAR in Iraq and Afghanistan. Free Palestine. To stay healthy, enable me to perform the 2010 Ramadan umrah or venture to places I have not been.

My first curse of 2010 – SHIT!!! The price of sugar had gone up by RM 0.20 and it would be followed by other things.

I lived through 2009, that was good enough, alhamdulillah and only Allah can judge me whether I did the right or wrong
