KRU Maulidur Rasul 05 February 2012.

Maulidur Rasul - Birthday of the Holy Prophet Mohammed pbuh was organized by the Federal Kampong Development and Welfare Committee. It was made known to the kampong residents by pamphlets house to house and the Pas controlled Mosque Committee even refused to announce at the Mosque regarding the Program.

The place: Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Kampong Raja Uda. The Committee could not use the Mosque even though the Mosque was empty. Only few parked motorcycles and cars were seen as the owners, Kumpulan Marhaban and Kompang Group were transported to Shah Alam to attend the state Maulidur Rasul function. Since you are in Shah Alam, let us use the empty Mosque. Maulidur Rasul is a religious function.

The programmed started at 0800 hrs where all attendees assembled followed by a short speech by the JKKK (P) Ketua Kampong. The men came with their baju melayu and the women and school children with their respective uniforms representing their own organization, school and kindergarten. However PASTI (Pusat Asuhan Tunas Islam) under the management of PAS did not attend. Each establishment carried their respective banner with bunga manggar.

The long procession started from Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan KRU with the selawat nabi filled the air led by Imam Mat Jebah and Tuan Haji Bakar Ibrahim. It passed through Jalan Kenanga/ Tengah/ Mawar/ Lengkongan/ Petola/ Bunga Rampai/ Teratai/ Melor/ Anggerik/ Tengah/ Kenanga and back to Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan KRU. At Jalan Bunga Rampai they passed by PAS Markas but not one soul was seen. Along the way residents who were not aware of the program came out to record the event with their cameras and hand phones. Traffic was controlled by RELA. Red Crescent was present but there was no casualty. At Jalan Petola we saw one PAS “Spy Baba” riding on a motorcycle recording the procession. Perhaps a report would follow to the Markas. Who cares?

Pelabuhan Kelang BN Wakil Rakyat (ex PKR) who resides in the kampong participated in the procession and MCA Representative nicknamed Azman Chin made a courtesy call after the procession.

Participants were handed with a pack of “nasi minyak” with “rendang”, “cendol”, ice cream and cool “soya bean” drinks free for all. Not the food and drinks that matter, it’s the participation that counts.

A tazkirah on Maulidur Rasul was conducted in the school Hall.

Maulidur Rasul is a day to commemorate the Birthday of the Holy Prophet and I just don’t understand why PAS, an Islamic Political Party shun away from the function. Even to use the Mosque was not allowed. If one is a member of UMNO, PAS, PKR, or even DAP, if you are Muslim you share the same Prophet that you faithfully believe. Why not on this auspicious day, we put away our political belief and gather as one in the name of ISLAM.

Whatever shortcomings that were encountered the function ran smoothly. To the Organization Committee - thank you and well done. Hope we can do better next year. What transpired today is something that we should ponder and use our brain the next one around. Allah gives us brain to think and differentiate between the good and bad. “Amal makruf, nahi mungkar”.
