I stopped by at the New Mosque Complex at 1700 hrs just to see the progress of the pre mix work. It was drizzling and it’s conducive for the laying of premix. I learnt that when I studied basic Civil Engineering at Technical Institute.
Premix work was in progress at the New Mosque frontage and at the rear.
The mehrab work was in progress and I managed to exchange conversation with the Contractor. A Syrian, married to Malaysian and base in Trengganu. I was shown a plate of the mehrab and explained how the khat (wording) was carved.
The main Contractor is fixing the chandelier wiring at the Dome provisional for the fixing of a chandelier. The question is where is the chandelier? I could not answer him and neither does he know where to get the chandelier. It is not included in the Mosque construction cost. It would be most appropriate to have the chandelier installed before they lay the carpet. That makes sense.
That’s the problem, if someone did not lock up the two (2) New Mosque Donation Safes for a couple of months probably there would be enough funds to purchase a chandelier. The absurd action did not make sense.
If any Muslim Millionaire or Philanthropist reading this Blog, your zakat to donate a chandelier to this New Mosque would be most welcome.
