KRU New Mosque as at 08 March 2012.

Not much development since 01 March 2012. There was no work on the Mehrab and Mimbar.

Interlocking heavy duty paver bricks had arrived on site and it will be laid from the frontage car park to the right entrance. Workers were seen preparing the soil surface. Back hoe was mobilized for soil leveling.

Pokok kayu manis had been planted by the fencing in front of the Mosque. There was certain section of the Mosque roof found leaking, therefore certain part of the ceiling work is still on hold.

Understand the JKKK (N) Ketua Kampong made his first visit to the Mosque on 06 March 2012 accompanied by a Member of the defunct Protem Committee making a joint assessment to request to the Authorities, for additional infrastructures.

Where and what happen to the present Committee Members? What are they doing?

Understand, chandelier was not inclusive as the cost is estimated to be around 40K. Enough funds would have been collected to purchase a chandelier if the New Mosque Donation Safes was not locked and no squabble who should oversee the Mosque construction. I am sad and disappointed when the “House of Allah” was made a subject of conflict. I am least surprised when one guy of their kind threw slippers at the panel of Judges and finally got a year jail sentence.

Most unlikely the New Mosque is ready for handover by end March 2012. My best guess would be end of May 2012. That’s the time the present New Mosque Protem Committee or the present Mosque Committee term expired. Good luck to the new elected KRU Mosque Committee Members!!!
