Klang PAS Commissioner Haji Ismail Arshad defeated at the kampong level during Kampong Raja Uda Mosque Committee Election for 2012 – 2015 term on 28 April 2012. He garnered only 66 votes against Haji Samsuddin Razak with 99 votes returned. Haji Samsuddin Razak was the Nazir, pre 2009 – 2012 terms.

Then the following happened…………………..

To the amazement of the kampong residents and the Mosque Jemaah, Tuan Haji Ismail Arshad the Klang PAS Commissioner was announced by the Mosque Nazir on 31 May 2012 before the Isyakh prayer as the Mosque Nazir for 2012 – 2015 sessions. The Ketua Kampong was allegedly at another Mosque but on my way to the Pasar Malam, he was on his way home from the Pasar Malam direction. Probably he chickened out to do the announcement and rightfully he should be the one. What in the world is going on? Where is democracy? PAS/DAP/PKR subscribe to BERSIH 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 calling for fair election. BUT at a simple kampong election the final outcome was not BERSIH. Where are their principles? The election process was held fair and clean, the residents were registered and they voted whom they think suitable to be the Mosque Nazir. Tuan Haji Samsuddin Razak obtained the majority vote of 99 but the final choice only came from the Ketua Kampong cum Kampong PAS Deputy Chairman. 

On the aspect of morale, it is shameful to take up the position if one is defeated. To PAS……morale can be put aside as long as they can clinch to power. The Malay said “Mana ada Maruah?”  I would step aside, very well knowing that I do not get the majority vote and the mandate of the kampong residents. I don’t know how thick their skins are.  

Adding salt to injury, the incumbent Imam 1, Tuan Haji Jaafar Siraj was removed due to age which slightly surpassed 65. We very well understand but no consideration was given having being healthy and still capable. Tuan Haji Khairuddin upgraded to Imam 1 and most surprising, Encik Ali Termizi Hussein from nowhere who obtained only 8 votes for the Nazir position was elected as Imam 2. He was never nominated as Imam by the residents. He was handpicked and recommended by the Ketua Kampong. He was selected as Imam 2 probably as an incentive having cleaned and brushed aside the shits left by Committee Members from PAS at the Kampong Persatuan Khairat Kematian & Kebajikan. Without doubt, on paper he is qualified as he has the paper qualification but the main criteria of an Imam are acceptance by the residents (jemaah). One Committee Member was dropped, Tuan Haji Suffian surprisingly replaced by Tuan Haji Yusuf who obtained only 4 votes during the run up of Nazir position. Understand Tuan Haji Suffian was dropped as his wife is an active Wanita UMNO. The most serious disaster was Tuan Haji Samsuddin Razak who obtained the highest vote of 99 for the Nazir position went empty handed. However, he can be proud that he was the residents’ choice and certainly can walk tall. He was not selected by the Ketua Kampong who had the final say at MAIS/JAIS/PAID. This is democracy ala PAS. The same people who war cry for fair and clean election.

The kampong residents will appeal; failing which all the residents can only do is to wait for the outcome of General Election 13. As far as I am concern there is no way me and my family will X the bloody Pakatan Rakyat at the forthcoming Election. Cross my DEAD body. I have pocketed my plan if ever BN wrest back Selangor.

ASTRO is “macam macam ada”, so as Kampong Raja Uda Mosque. This is history at Kampong Raja Uda in 2012.
