14 June 2012, is the last day for the old KRU Mosque. The asar prayer would be the last. Transfer operation from the Old Mosque to the New Mosque began at about 1000 hrs. Kampong residents, housewives included who were free joined hands assisted in the operation. Mini lorry and a borrowed forklift were mobilized.

The Old Mosque Mimbar was also removed but not to the New Mosque. It was donated to a Mosque somewhere in Pulau Indah. Sad to see the Mimbar lay on the floor and later transported by a lorry to its new location.

The most tedious and complicated operation was the transfer of the several Donation Saves. The neighboring Chinaman Hardware Store was kind enough to lend a forklift.

As it is, though the transfer operation is about 90% done but the transfer of power from the 2009 – 2012 Committee to the current Committee of 2012 – 2015 still not finalized. The fourteen (14) days grace period expired on the 14 June 2012. Remind me of a song by Tan Sri S.M Salim, “Apa Nak Jadi?”
