Malaysia Day - 16 September.

Malaysia Day – 16 September 2012.

It was on 16 September 1963 when Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak joined the Federation of Malaya (Perseketuan Tanah Melayu) to become Malaysia. I remember I attended the declaration at Penang City Stadium when I was in First Year at Technical Institute Penang. Two (2) years later in 1965, Singapore opted out from Malaysia to become a sovereign state of Singapore. Alhamdullilah, I survive today to remember both the days and witnessed how Malaysia had progress over the years. Those who questioned and doubt what the BN Government had done over these years, either they are blind or plain numbskulls.

During that time the only communication between Penang Island and the mainland was by ferry or swim across but today it has been connected by the longest bridge in Malaysia. Prai was the Railway Station then but now it had been shifted to Butterworth. Those days, it took nearly a day to travel between Penang and Kuala Lumpur by road or by rail but today with the PLUS Highway, by four (4) hours or even earlier the distance can be covered. Those PAS radicals especially, still cannot see?

16 September 2012 was on Sunday and therefore Monday 17 September 2012 (Monday) was a Public Holiday. It was a long weekend and conjunction with the last weekend of Aidilfitri.

From Saturday through Monday there were a lot of activities, khenduris, open houses and weddings. Future Haji and Hajjah are about to be the guest of Allah at the Holy Land. There was one wedding invitation as far as Alor Gajah, Melaka. I only attended one (1) open house and two (2) weddings. That’s all the strain the body could absorb.

The open house was JKKK (P) organized by the Pandamaran BN held at Kampong Raja Uda Sekolah Kebangsaan compound. I met one PAS guy at the function and asked him whether he came to the wrong place? His answer “Where there is provided free I will be there”. That indicate what type of specimen they are. They wallop everything what the Government provided but at the back they whack the Government through and through. Seeing these types of specimens loitering around, men of no principle, I left the function early.

The weddings were invitation of Dato Malek Ahmad, my cousin at Bukit Damansara, KL and the other by Prof Dato Dr Ikram Said at UKM Bangi. The rest of the open houses and weddings, I was not keen to attend, had to control my diet, budget and too tiring to move around. The family attended the wedding at Bangi as we were very close both to Prof Dato Dr Ikram Said family and the in law family when we resided in Port Dickson during the early 70s. We were glad to meet up with Makcik Piah, Ikram’s mother in law who now move around in wheelchair. The only one missing of Ikram siblings was Iqbal who was away in the States.

There was no activity on Monday 17 September 2012 and since Shasha was with us through the whole weekend, it was her day. We took her to the Rabbit Farm, had lunch and lastly to the Playground. She refused to budge out from the Rabbit Farm as she was very excited playing around with the bunnies.

Shasha and the bunnies.

I hope to see another Malaysia Day in 2013 and the country continues to progress and prosper under the BN Government. The key word to all the progress is racial harmony. If a nineteen (19) year old Malaysia born Chinese girl cannot speak Bahasa Malaysia, then something is definitely wrong. Ask her to sing the National Anthem, whether she can utter the lyrics? If she cannot, she is definitely fit to be given a one way Passport to anywhere she likes.

What sort of mentality this Idiot has?
