11 May 2009 – the High Court judgment: Dato Seri Nizar Jamaludin is the legitimate MB of Perak and the appointment of Zambry Kadir was null and void. The illegitimate MB and his six appointed Exco was asked to vacate their respective Offices. The Constitution clearly stated that the MB cannot be removed only with the exception of vote of no confidence by the Assembly. The Honorable Sultan has the right and power bestowed upon him to appoint an MB but he doesn’t have one to remove the MB. However only Allah knows what actually transpired when the Deputy PM then, met His Royal Highness at the Istana Kuala Kangsar. I hate to know and I don’t want to know. What is important now the position of MB had been returned to the right ownership?
I received the news with joy as my tagline is justice. I want justice to be done. However I am still skeptical because the BN government especially UMNO will manipulate all the tricks by whatever means to grab back control of Perak from the PR government. They may sort out by removing the legal MB by vote of no confidence vide emergency sitting. Currently the BN has 28 + 3 frogs align to them. PR has only 28. The question is whether the 7 May 2009 sitting was legal and whether the newly appointed Speaker was legal? From the Assembly under the tree, PR Speaker had suspended the illegitimate MB and his six illegitimate Exco from attending the Assembly so as with the three frogs. Was the sitting under the tree, legal? I think it should be because Nizar was the rightful MB. On this term, PR still maintain majority in the House and any emergency sitting for vote of no confidence against the legal MB cannot hold. The Perak fiasco teach a lot of people about legal and illegal.
To be fair and the interest of all Perakians so that development, foreign investments, economic enhancement, infrastructure upgrading and you name it all can go as plan the dissolve of the assembly is the best game. Let the people decide once and for all and the looser party please do not disturb the winner. Let the winner manage and govern the state for good or for worst.
I look forward for the next episode in my birth sate. When I was small I only know one legal terminology: Terbalik Court.
