Just my prediction
No way, Perak Assembly would be dissolved. My indication: BN did not want to contest the Penanti election. To them it is going to be a waste of money and the money can be utilized to revitalize the economy. If that is the case and the excuse there is no way the Perak assembly would be dissolved because it would involve a lot of money for SPR to conduct a reelection for the whole state of Perak.
My best bet, the present state assembly would convene an emergency sitting and the BN + 3 frogs would override the 28 PR assemblymen. A vote of no confidence would be set upon Nizar, the right way to dispose him according to the Constitution and Nizar and his PR government would seem collapse.
However, it does not sound that easy. Several court cases still pending. Was the force eviction of PR Speaker on 7 May sitting was legal? Counter appeal by Nizar is in progress and PR Speaker versus BN Speaker. The Judiciary is not on PR camp and more often than not the Judiciary would favor BN. That’s the name of the game. Head I win, tail you loose. BN can interpret the law to their whim and fancy.
The majority of Perakians and Malaysians in general prefer for a reelection so that Perakians can decide who is Perak Administrator of the day. That’s the best solution to unwind the mess. If BN dare not contest the Penanti seat, I don’t see they dare to dissolve Perak State Assembly.
BN, please prove me wrong.
