Started Dropping.

Sunday 10 July 2011, my mind was at ease. The BERSIH Rally organized and participated by couple of thousands lawless Malaysians on 09 July 2011 passed by gracefully and no major implications to the nation. My son was away up north at Belum Forest Reserve and that guaranteed of his non participation. The illegal Rally - one died, one hospitalized and some in police custody. That’s not my problem and I don’t care. To HELL with those who paralyzed Kuala Lumpur for couple of hours.

They seek trouble and Allah troubled them. Their demand for the Election Commission cleansing suddenly dropped and they called for “Reformsi” instead, the War Cry of Anwar Ibrahim. Majority of Malaysians shun away and disapprove of taking grouses on the street. Whatever, the foreign press and TV took advantage and the country’s image is slightly tarnished. Allah will punish them for depriving the daily income of Kuala Lumpur small and big business enterprises.

I was told the durian at the Dusun (Orchard) had started dropping and some rambutan had ripened. I spent the whole evening at the Dusun and opened up the latest durian that was just dropped by the afternoon. No complain, the flesh was yellowish and it tasted good. The rambutan was sweet too.

The yellow flesh.

Not so yellow.

Rambutan.

When are you going to hit the ground?

I clearly remember the day we planted the durian tree. The evening when Thomas Cup was taken in a motorcade to Banting to the Sidek's residence.

The Dusun Caretaker? Ha ha ha.........my niece sweeping away the dropped leaves.

The jack fruit and breadfruit.

We also pluck some jackfruit (nangka) and bread fruit (sukun). The breadfruit when fried, tastes better than fried banana. Dip into sambal belacan and followed with black coffee (kopi O), the fried bread fruit (sukun goring) would taste yummy.

The breadfruit tree.

I dropped the idea of taking Shasha to the Dusun and it was a wise decision. As sunset at the horizon, the Dusun was swarming with mosquitoes.

I love the weekend freedom going back to nature.
