KRU New Mosque as at 12 April 2011.

Overall view from the back of the Mosque.

The Dome and the Main Prayer Hall from the back corridor.

Roofing yet to be installed and wiring dangling.

The uncompleted north entrance (right entrance).

The Imam pulpit and the mimbar as it is.

Muslimah uncompleted ablution area.

View from the left of Multi Purpose Hall.

The open space is the potential parking area.

Sad story and sad state.

Work seems to be on stand still. Not much development since last month. Reasons – only Allah knows and as a bystander, yours truly only capable of watching.

The only thing that I know, we had collected about RM 375,000 (three hundred seventy five thousands) and had passed over to the Authority for the “mehrab”. The money was entrusted by the kampong residents and donors for the sole purpose. Design had been submitted and some smart Alex up there wanted to improvise. No argument about it but how come it is still stagnant? The fund is already in place.

I visited the site at 1000 hours and only saw one (1) Bangladeshi worker, even that he was resting.

As it is, if the situation remain status quo I doubt the Kampong Jemaah can utilize the New Mosque during the forthcoming Ramadan in August 2011. Some commented that they don’t mind at all, hopefully the construction can start rolling after the next General Election. I tend to agree and we had set out all strategies. Too late to regret about past deeds but we remain patience and optimistic.

My excitement with the New Mosque is diminishing due to the slow development however I seek Allah blessing that it can pick up soonest.
