Masjidilharam Renovation.

Following are the status of Masjidilharam which I expect to view with my own eyes on 24 January 2013, insyaalah. I will snap an update status and will post later on in February 2013.

Quite surprising Saudi Arabia issued umrah visa early of the year to spread out the number of umrah Pilgrims. I am sure they strictly control the number of visas issued as there are limited praying space in Masjidilharam.

Following shots were taken by Tuan Haji Arshad a permanent resident of Mekah. Yours truly stayed at the Hotel he managed during Ramadan 2010.

Good beginning for 2013.

On 7 January 2013, I casually contacted my usual Umrah Travel Agent with the intention of collecting “Upah Haji” Certificate for my late brother in law.

Tuan Haji Mokhzar summoned me to his Office immediately and to bring along my International Passport together with passport size photographs for reasons that I wasn’t aware yet.

Tuan Haji Mokhzar offered me to lead eighteen (18) Jemaah to perform the umrah in the Holy Land departing KLIA by Saudi Air on 20 January 2013 and a day after fifty eight (58) Jemaah will fly out from KLIA and will join my entourage in Medina. I accepted the offer without any hesitation as January/February is the best time to perform an umrah as the weather is very cooling. It’s winter in the Middle East. Currently I am a free lance Retiree; therefore I have all the free time in the world.

Medina Almunawarah and Mekah Almukararamah……………here I come. Allah Hu Akbar!!!!

I thank Almighty Allah (syukur alhamdullillah) for granting and blessing yours truly to another journey to the Holy Land to perform an umrah simultaneously to chaperone the “Guest of Allah” Jemaah to the same. May Allah grant me the strength, patience and good health to perform that had been entrusted upon this humble soul.  It is not an easy task to manage people from all walks of life and age. May ALLAH help me?
The total entourage, about eighty (80) will cross the 450 km Saudi Arabian Desert heading for Mekah from Medina vide two (2) Coaches on 24 January 2013. Allah bless that I have an extra day in Medina to pray at the Holy Prophet’s Mosque - Masjid Nabawi. The duration of ten (10) days in Mekah, the Jemaah will concentrate on the umrah rituals and surrendering to Allah at the Grand Mosque of Masjidilharam by the Holy Kaabah. I am entrusted to oversee the Jemaah welfare and need.

I will also take the opportunity and time off, insyaalah to perform an umrah for Brother Mahmud bin Abdul Hamid who passed away recently, late December 2012.

Insyaalah, will be back in Malaysia on 2 February 2013. The second batch will be back a day after. Therefore, I would be away from the country from 20 January 2013 to 02 February 2013. I will blog and post photographs soon I am back
.
Syukhran Tuan Haji Mokhzar, for trusting me.

Understand, Masjidilharam in Mekah is currently undergoing a major renovation from Umrah Gate to Fatah Gate. It had been demolished for the purpose of expansion and realignment with the new annex. Substantial praying space had been sacrificed. Since it is the beginning of the umrah season, I expected the number of Jemaah from all over the world will not be as crowded as compared to the Jemaah during the Holy month of Ramadan or Haj pilgrimage season.

Whatever, insyaalah Allah will accommodate a space within the Mosque when one give his/her heart and soul purely for the sake of Almighty Allah. Allah will not disappoint His honored Guests.

Oh My God!!

HADI CHANGES FROM FUNDAMENTALIST TO POLITICIAN JUST TO BE PM

PAS is in trouble as the party leaders balance themselves son a tightrope trying not to fall flat on their cheats and lies and their differences among themselves as well as with partners in Pakatan Rakyat (PR). President Abdul Hadi Awang is in a catch 22 position on the use of the word ‘ALLAH’ as he clashes with his deputy head of Syura Council Dr Harun Taib and information chief Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man. Hadi seems to be getting out of the ‘veterans league’ that had group together to fend off the onslaught by the liberals who are aligned to PKR de facto chief Anwar Ibrahim just two years ago. Dr Harun and Tuan Ibrahim were two of the few veteran fundamentalists that included Hadi and party secretary-general Mustapa Ali, warding off the liberals’ attack at that time and the victim was Nasharuddin Mat Isa, who was defeated by Mohamad Sabu or Mat Sabu as deputy president. However, Hadi is now seen as softening to Anwar’s pressure when he began contradicting the party’s philosophy and ideology in defending the sanctity of Islam when he loosen up of his fundamentalist’ stand.

The contradictory statements between Hadi and Dr Harun is not differences in opinions on the subject matter but it is pure contradiction which Hadi himself knows will invite trouble from within. But Hadi is in a desperate position as he tries to prevent erosion of support while at the same time pleasing the partners in PR. Walking on a tightrope, he now seems to be selling his principles one by one, as though he is under some kind of threats from outside, political threats that would put him to shame. Whether he is really under threats personally given the fact Anwar’s men are good in tracking past scandals and weaknesses of an intended victim, only Hadi knows and his behavior has invited more distrusts from members and supporters. To those members who intent to distance themselves and supporters who leave, Hadi is no longer the ulamaks they respected but a politician who ‘dance accordingly to the tunes’ of those he needs help or wanting to close certain ‘skeletons in the cupboard.’ Hadi is now a politician whose level is the same to that of Anwar and Lim Guan Eng, with the difference in dressing as Hadi always in his jubbah and turban while the other two in modern attire. Hadi is considered as a man who no longer aims to correct the wrongs but is a mere human who aims to be the Prime Minister, who aims for power more than ALLAH’s blessings. He is now a competitor to Anwar for the position and like Anwar, he now will do anything an including twisting fact like he did with his edict in 1981, so long as he achieves his aim and pleases his partners.

My Comment:

I disagree when Christians want to use the word “Allah” in their Bahasa Malaysia translated Bible. Allah was never born nor produces a child. Christians believe that Jesus is the son of God, therefore Christian’s God and my God, Allah is definitely different.

Please refer to surah al-Ikhlas from the Holy Qur’an.

The 112th chapter of the Qur’an is called al-Ikhlās, which literally means “sincerity” or “purity”. It is given this name since it affirms the purity of faith, uncorrupted by polytheism, and sincerity of worship to Allah alone without partner. It affirms in the most emphatic terms that Allah is One (al-Ahad), the only true God. It affirms that He is wholly Self-Subsisting (al-Samad), and negates any claim that He was born of another or that He has a child.  It then concludes by affirming His absolute uniqueness.

Allah’s names al-Ahad and al-Samad appear in the Qur’an only in this chapter.

Much can be said about the importance of this short chapter of the Qur’an. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to recite this chapter in the second unit of the Subuh Prayer. He would also recite it in the Witr prayer at night and in the prayer that he would offer after completing the circumambulation of the Ka`bah.

Al-Ikhlās was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during the early days of Islam when the Muslims were still living in Mecca. The pagans of Mecca one day approached him and challenged: “Give us the genealogy of your Lord.”

It was then that Allah revealed the four brief verses of Sūrah al-Ikhlās to His Prophet:

Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Self-Subsisting. He begets not, nor is He begotten, and there is none like unto Him. - [Sūrah al-Ikhlās: 1-4]

What Hadi declared is merely a political gimmick to win the heart of the Christians who are mainly Chinese, Indians and the Natives of Sabah/Sarawak at the next General Election which is round the corner before April 2013. The episode is a matter of “aqidah” and I do not wish to be a party and I strongly object to the use of “Allah” in the Bahasa Malaysia translated Bible. I do not wish to deviate from my aqidah. Thank you Allah for guiding me to abandon PAS.

No offence to the Christians as I believe in my religion. One big question, why now those concern want to use the word Allah instead of Tuhan?
