CHINESE NEW YEAR 2009.

The first Chinese New Year 2009 was a very quiet affair. Surprisingly, I could sleep well on the eve because the banging of firecrackers was very much less than the noises made during the couple of years. I send my normal greetings to all my Chinese friends vide emails and short messages. I decided not to visit any open house and in the afternoon, I took the trip to Putrajaya. It was about a year ago I last visited the place and keen to see the latest development.

We had lunch by the lake food court and enjoyed the beautiful sunny afternoon from the fully air condition food court. Since we were there, we went on the 1430 hours lake cruise. The catamaran was fully occupied and we had a busload of Taiwanese tourists. The cruise took us about 45 minutes and crossed under 3 bridges. As explained by the Tourist Guide, the deepest point of the lake is 45 feet deep and they have about 36 species of tropical fish aqua cultured in the lake, the most dangerous is “toman”. Swimming and fishing is strictly prohibited. The most impressive structure by the lake is the under construction Tengku Mizan Mosque. I asked the Tourist Guide the justification of another Mosque by the lake and he told me, the present one is inadequate especially during the month of Ramadhan. I was impressed by the Tourist Guide who gave us a detail briefing of all structures seen from the lake. The most prominent is the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) perch on the majestic hillock at the end of the lake.

I may visit the lake cruise again and this time for sunset dinner cruise. Sound romantic. If I had cruised on the Nile, Seine, Rhine, Danube and Thames, I don’t think I should not go one at my own backyard.

I must pay my gratitude to my former Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad for converting Batang Benar Estate, into such a marvelous place.

…………………………………………………………..

The second day of Chinese New Year, 27th January 2009, after the Isyakh prayer, the Mosque held an Annual General Meeting to elect the new Committee Members. I stayed away as I don’t see the urgency and the rationale of appointing new Committee when the existing one would expire in May 2009. The Meeting was mooted by the newly elected Kampong Committee which mostly comprised of PAS members and Pakatan Rakyaat. I feel that PAS was trying to show strength and power that they are now in the driving seat, no more UMNO or Barisan Nasional.

It all started sometimes two months ago when forms were distributed by the Kampong Committee for the kampong residents to register as the kampong permanent residents. Some were not keen to register and some just don’t be bothered at all, especially the UMNO members. Little that they knew that the registration process is the authorize document for them to participate in the election of the Mosque Committee. Those who had registered could nominate, seconded, elected and hold position as Committee Members. Those who had not registered could only attend the process as an Observer. When BN was in power in Selangor, pre PRU 13 the Mosque Committee Members was selected by the UMNO Klang Branch Chief. There was no election process whatsoever. Now the process is more democratic.

From my friend who attended the election process, 80% of the new Committee Members returned were from PAS. It was all pre arranged and PAS members, registered residents were the majority at the election process. Therefore, they won most of the nominations. Most incumbent declined being nominated including the Nazir.

I wish the new Committee, the best of luck but I have my reservation. Most of them do not have the experience of Mosque management and since most incumbents were not in the line up, there is no continuity. This may result to disharmony among the community.

Whatever said, I still think, the Mosque is not the place to play politic. Whatever political ideologies we adhered to, in the Mosque we all face the same direction when we pray to Allah. Even though I am a PAS member, I leave my membership at home when I pace my first step to the Mosque.

………………………………………………………………

The third day of Chinese New Year, 28th January 2009, most Chinaman shops remain closed. There was no specific plan and I decided to drop by my friend’s shop. He was just back from the Northern border spending the Chinese New Year holidays with his family.

During the call of zohor azan, we adjourned to Bukit Tinggi Mosque to perform our prayers. As I just finished my pre zohor sunat prayer there was a commotion outside the Mosque. I saw my friend rushing out and I suspected someone had broken into his car. To my surprise, I saw smoke inside the car and the interior was burning. Luckily the wuduk standpipe was nearby and the fire was quickly doused. The console box near the handbrake was destroyed and luckily I stored my hand phone at the front glove box. I quickly retrieved my hand phone otherwise it would be a melted plastic.

After the zohor prayer we accessed the damage and what was important we could start the car. Since Chinaman workshop was still closed, the Sonata would be diagnosis and medicated on the fourth day of Chinese New Year. We adjourned for murtabak lunch and we thanked Allah that the fire started just before the zohor prayer. If it was not noticed earlier, the damages could be severe to my friend’s Sonata as well as to the other cars parked nearby.

Last Kopek for George W Bush.

I wanted to watch history and I stayed awake on 21st.January 2009 early morning to watch Barrack Hussein Obama inauguration as the 44th President. To the Chinese, number 44 is not good. It meant si si, death, death. For a start the new President fumbled when he took the oath of office.

Among the crowd, of course he must be there was ex President Bush 2. Ex President Bush 1 (Bush 2 Daddy) was there too, he could hardly walked accompanied by his beautiful bedmate (Bush 2 Mummy). yekkkk…..

I saw the Bushes grinning away, especially Bush 2. Make me nausea. I turned my watchful eyes away from the TV screen. That’s the man who had killed so many Iraqis and Afghans, women and babies. Of late he had a hand when the Israelis went rampage massacring the Gazan Palestinians. It was only a day before, the Israelis stopped but not completely pulled back. The massacre was the last gift (last kopek) the Israelis gave to Bush 2. Suddenly the Israelis ceased the bombardment on the eve of the inauguration. Strange, isn’t it?

Many people argue that Bush invaded Afghanistan and Iraq due to the 9/11. I still think 9/11 was orchestrated by the Israelis. Bush 2 knew before hand but he did not expect the vast damage implicated from the conspiracy. When Bush 2 declared “War on Terror”, it gave an open passport to the Israelis in particular, to restrain the Palestinians on the quest of fighting for their Freedom. Reagan asked Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall but Bush 2 allowed Ehud Barrack, Ariel Sharon and Olmert erecting the Jerusalem wall. Where is Ariel Sharon now? Wonder he is dead or alive? GOD punished him with an acute stroke.

How come the most wanted man connected to 9/11 is still at large? Osama Ben Laden is just an icon an associate of Bush 2. How come the only plane that was allowed to fly out from US airspace immediately after 9/11 was a planeload full of the Ben Ladens? Please figure it out.

It is an open secret that Israel is a nuclear power. America supplied all the ingredients. Bush supplied arms and weapons to Israel to kill the Palestinians and no weapons or arm are allowed to enter Gaza and West Bank. It is just like punching the opponent with eyes blindfolded. No way, Iran and North Korea can develop nuclear power. Bush allowed Pakistan to have one as a gratitude for giving a passage way to bomb Afghanistan. I foresee the future that CIA would be working with India to finish off Pakistan.

Eliminating Taliban from mother earth? In the first place, who created Taliban? It was the CIA, to fight against the Russian incursion. Who armed the Taliban? It was USA. When Taliban won against the Russians, USA happily abandoned the Taliban and Afghanistan. USA did not assist the Taliban to restructure the country in ruin. What’s the motive of invading Iraq? To get rid of Sadam Hussein. Agreed, now Sadam Hussein had long gone captured and hanged. What the fcuk the US troops still doing in Iraq? US mission to eliminate Sadam accomplished and let the Iraqis manage their own country. Factually, US invaded Iraq only for the oil and to do that, Sadam Hussein must be eliminated. Sadam is not as terror as any Israelis Premier to compare with. Sadam used chemical to kill the Kurdish. Agreed but who sold the chemicals to Sadam Hussein?? It was Donald Rumsfield from the USA that supplied the chemicals to be used against the Iranians during the Iran/Iraq war. They make use of Sadam to fight the Iranians due to the uprising of Islamic Revolution in Iran. The Revolution managed to kick out American puppet, Shah Reza Pahlavi.

War on Terror - it is a stupid doctrine. Nobody ever win a war on terrorists. If you declare war on terrorists, you get more terrorists. The children, brother and sisters of killed terrorist would one day become a terrorist. He or she would take revenge. Before Bush 2 declared War on Terror, he should study the root cause of 9/11. Unless, of course, Bush 2 already knew the conspirators of 9/11. My opinion, 9/11 was preplanned by Bush 2 and the Israelis so that they can convene terror on Afghanistan, Iraq and the Palestinians or any other Muslim countries that do not tag along with US and the Zionists.

It is a clear cut case that Bush 2 and its allies was trying to eliminate as many Muslims as possible from this earth. The last kopek that the Israelis invaded Gaza to the very last week of Bush 2 presidency was to agitate the Iranians to get involved. Ahmadnijad was not stupid. This is one ambition where Bush 2 failed. I don’t think Bush 2 is giving up. He will still correlate with the Jews or CIA to instill a conspiracy to justify the invasion of Iran or at least to make Iran look bad to the eyes of the non Muslim world. Bush 2 was successful on the creation of 9/11 but not fully successful enough of its aftermath. The Iranians are still standing and I as a Malaysian Muslims is still standing and witnessing all Bush 2 tricks and trades. I am a witness to his axis of evil and I am part of history. I hate war and Bush 2 was the Chief of the War Mongrels. Bush 2 let me tell you something, you may escape the Hague but you can never run away from the Court of GOD. I would bear witness to your evils. May the soul of your victims haunt you through the rest of your life?

I am looking forward for a change from Barrack Hussein Obama. This guy ancestor was a Muslim but he himself is now a devoted Christians. When he was young, he was brought up in a Muslim community in Indonesia.

Judaism, Christians and Islamists are all the sons of Abraham. I wonder why everybody against Islam? The Crusade has not ended????

NO MORE INTERESTED.

Following text message received from brother A@AZ on 21st January 2009 at 1625 hours.

Quote:

SALAM

Am settling cukai for plot of land in Ulu Bernam under BAPAK’S name which has been fwded in my care by arwah Saleh.

I now seek your blessing to fwd under your care from next year on. I hope once d title has been settle, I could be reimburse d total amount I’ve paid on the cukai down the years.(I still keep the receipts I’ve paid). Arwah Saleh wasn’t sure it’s status as it’s under BAPAK’S name.

As I don’t want matter to prolong I hope U give ur ok.
TQ.

I received the above sms message while I was having a nap in my friend’s car on our way back from Bukit Merah Lake Town. After reading the message I was wide awake for the remaining journey because it was troubling me mentally. I was very disappointed that my brother was requesting for a reimbursement when the title of the land still remains to our late father’s name. To my mind, how could he be so calculative? I had paid the same before and I did not ask for a reimbursement from anybody. It was only between my late brother Saleh and me. It did not make me any poorer. I just treated it as a caretaker to my father’s land then and may his soul rest forever remain in peace. I classified my obligation as a contribution. I wanted to bind complicated ties but the complications remain forever complicated to this very day.

Many things came to my mind. How do I respond tactfully? I received similar message from brother A@AZ sometimes last year and I just ignored. I am not interested to upkeep the responsibility of the land title. There are fifteen living bodies and two deceased attach to this land title. The elders should shoulder the responsibility.

I couldn’t sleep thinking about the most sensible wordings to respond to my brother A@AZ Finally at 0330 hours in the morning I drafted a reply. Even my wife was shocked to see me meddling with the hand phone at the wee of the morning. Which wife, not? I could be into some dirty trick secretively with a woman or what. However, I had to explain to her later.

Quote:

Wsalam

Am sorry for what I am going to say. Please do not raise the subject matter of pesaka arwah Bapak to me anymore. I am no more interested and I want no part anymore. I already had a mild stroke and this prolong issue is very sensitive to me. If you think you carry a heavy burden, don’t pay. Let it rot. I don’t think it can be settle near soon. Nobody seem interested to initiate and suggest a solution to settle once for all. My suggestion was never heard and not wanted. So be it. I gave up thinking about the pesaka long time ago. I want to live the rest of my life in peace. Please don’t bother me. Arwah Bapak left us 30 years ago.

Case close and please, no more sms on subject matter. I want my brain and my heartbeat to run as per normal. Before you get upset, please put yourself in my position. I was not only a father of 2 children but to 5 other boys and 3 girls. I shoulder d responsibilities to my best abilities and we went through on my own. Was difficult n it was a sacrifice to peace the soul of arwah Bapak. You may forward this message to Abang Jamal.

I close my case.

I sent the above reply at 1047 on 22nd January 2009. At 1058 hours, brother A@AZ responded with a note of thanks and message understood.

I was relieved.

I felt a heavy burden off my shoulder. I had been thinking to deliver the message that I am no more interested to be part of the pesaka all these while. It really cheesed me off. For the past 30 years since late Bapak passed away, my elders were not doing enough to address or to make any effort to confer a solution. They treat me like an alien as if I played no part in it. I was never given an ear. That’s why I give up.

I only speak for myself and I don’t speak for the rest of the family member. I don’t mean to hurt anybody but sometimes we got to face reality.

I only bring along my sins (plenty of them), good deeds (if any) and loin cloth when my time comes to face Almighty Allah. Why bother about worldly treasures? The education that my late father gave it to me is the most precious treasure that he left to me for good use. That is good enough. As gratitude, his son here, never fail to seek Allah blessing and pardon on his behalf at every completion of my solat.

Barrack Obama.

Barrack Obama would take the USA Presidency on 20th January 2009. This kopi susu President, is the first not fully white President of the United States of America. He created history, no doubt, but would he last to serve his first term? He would if he still takes instructions from Israel. If not, I only give him six months. Prove to me, I am wrong. Would the existing US foreign policy on the Middle East remain the same under Obama? I don’t think there is any change. Obama got to survive in all respect.

Would Obama pull back American troop from Iraq? It was only a political gimmick. Pulling back US troops from Iraq would upset the Israelis. I reckon, Obama would send more troops to Iraq to finish off all the Iraqis and make Iraqi rich oil wells as US reservoirs. Palestine or Gaza would continue to be in turmoil. US would continue to supply arm to the Israelis to kill the Gazans but on the other hand, no arm or bullets are allowed into Gaza. The only weapon, the Palestinians allowed to use is only rock and pebbles. There is no such thing as peace process, only appear on paper and televisions.

It’s none of my business what’s happening in the Israel occupied territories. I come to that stage because I can’t do anything nor can Badawi. The only guy who can do something is the newly elected US President, Barrack Hussein Obama. His two names coincidentally, similar to two greatest enemies of US. Sadam Hussein and Osama ben Laden. Obama again, I have my doubt he can do anything. US politic have been dictated by the strong and powerful Israelis lobby. The UN has always been overruled by veto power and OIC is an organization in disarray and never united. Israel can break countless UN Resolutions but no can any Muslim country.

I hope Obama can last his first four year term and I would salute him if he can change the world.

17th. JANUARY 2009. (Saturday)

Three events of 17th, Janury 2009 make me a happy man and out of three, two was indeed a thriller and suspence.

PAS, or Pakatan Raayat won in Kuala Trengganu with a majority of 2631 against UMNO or Barisan Nasional. During the whole day, I was glued in front of my PC to follow the events from the various blogs. I did not follow the local TV News Bulletin because their reporting normally one sided. During the counting process, I still stick to my normal routine, solat maghrib and isyakh berjemaah at the Mosque. Between the two waktus, I went with three other friends for a drink and a roti canai. My three friends are staunch followers of UMNO and they confidently predicted that UMNO would win by a majority of 500 or so. Confidently, yours truly said, the moon would ever shine in Kuala Trengganu with 2000 majority. We had a small betting - the loser would pay for the drinks at the following night. At 2119 hrs, I was back in front of my PC and the latest update, PAS was leading. My wife informed me that the official result was already flashed on TV3 and true enough, the moon is shining full in Kuala Trengganu. Alhamdullillah.

---------------------------------------------

Later in the evening at 2300 hrs, I turned to ESPN Sport. My favorite Manchester United playing away against Bolton. MU must win to top up the EPL table. For eighty nine minutes the score was still scoreless. The magic of Ronaldo did not work. At the 90th minute of normal playing time, from the beautiful cross of Teves, Berbatov’s head put the ball into Bolton’s net. MU, now top the Table.
Satisfied.

--------------------------------------------

Tuan Haji Faharuddin and his wife, Puan Hajjah Rogayah left for the Holy Land to perform their umrah. It was very nice of Puan Hajjah Rogayah to call me personally informing me of their departure. Accompanied their departure was the family “doa” and hopefully they have a successful umrah. In fact Hajjah Rogayah invited me to come along but I had to decline due to of my recent umrah and I am also reserving my Ringgit for the next Ramadhan umrah. Insyaalah. Puan Hajjah Rogayah was worried as this time of the year, the temperature in Medina is rather cold. I told her to be ready with warm clothing for the three days in Medina.
Bon voyage Tuan Haji and Hajjah.

MAD.

I went to Malayan Banking today and I got mad. I got my transaction done at 1105 hrs and it took me only five minutes. Very fast indeed and I was damn delighted. I was not mad with the Bank. I chose the right branch at Intan Millenium at the outskirt of Klang. There is no walk in customers at this Branch compared to the Port Klang town branch therefore the Bank was not crowded.

As I went back to the car, I noticed car with registration plate BJP 5920 was right at the back of my car and there was no way I could reverse and hit my way. There was no second Driver in the car and I waited for about five minutes, perhaps he had some business at the Bank. Never mind, I thought. Still, the stupid and inconsiderate Driver did not turn up and I pressed up my car horn. I hit the horn at every five minutes, even my wife was not happy the way I reacted. My blood pressure was shooting up as I was already waiting for thirty minutes.

The Council Enforcement Officers came around and I told them my predicament. They issued summon to BJP 5920 for parking indiscriminately and tried to push BJP 5920 forward but the handbrake stayed tight. Few other bystanders came around for some had noticed I was waiting for quite a while. It was already forty minutes gone and the stupid Driver still did not show up. One able bodied Malay gentleman came and he suggested to lift BJP 5920 sideway to make room for my car to be reversed. Few bystanders and the Enforcement Officers came to his assistance and it was easy with several muscles. The Malay gentleman volunteered to reverse my car as the space situation was very tight. Like a professional, he squeezed my car out. I thanked him and the rest and I was back on the road. I wasted forty five minutes waiting for the idiot and he still did not turn up.

That’s the trouble with Malaysian Drivers. They think they pay road tax and they can do whatever they like as if the roads belong to their fathers. The Enforcement Officer told me that the owner of BJP 5920 is bangsa Melayu and that make me more annoyed. Being Malay and a Muslim, he never uses Allah given brain. Perhaps he applied “ketuanan melayu”. Maybe this idiot is also ill bred or “kurang ajar”. Only think for his self convenient. I thought I only found one in Mecca. (please refer to my entry 27 October 2008).

BJP 5920 Driver is lucky that I am not a fighter cock. If I am that type I could easily waited for him and bash him up. In this situation, a fight could easily spark up when you only think for your own convenient. If you know parking is difficult, then bring along a second Driver or just wait when parking space is available. If circumstances really warrant, then don’t take too long. I just hope we don’t have more idiots like the Driver of BJP 5920 in this country.

Battle at Kuala Trengganu.

Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid of Barisan Nasional(BN) and Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut of PAS under the umbrella of Pakatan Rakyat would be contesting against each other for the coming bye election on 17th January 2009. Someone is also contesting the election under an Independent candidate. I don’t bother to know his name because he is a sure looser and just want to get cheap publicity. First time, his face appeared in TV and picture in the newsprint. He definitely going to see his deposit forfeited. Stupid, isn’t it? Rather utilize the money to perform an “umrah”.

My prediction and I hope PAS would win the election, no matter the number of majority votes. Dr Mahathir once said, even with one vote majority, the winner is still the winner. I have nothing against UMNO or Barisan Nasional but I despised the people and the way they manage the party now especially after the Mahathir era. I was an UMNO party member, first political party I joined during the 60s.until UMNO was declared illegal. I followed Tengku Razaleigh and joined Semangat 46. When Semangat 46 and Tengku Razaleigh chickened out and ran back to UMNO, I was left with no political party. I don’t bother and I concentrated on my career. Until recently, retired and after the 2008 election, I finally joined PAS. My younger brother is a strong UMNO member with position in the Division of Taiping. I can hardly wait to show him my PAS membership card.

Why don’t I join UMNO? That’s a good question. I don’t like the way they run the party now. For instance, in Kampong Raja Uda, they have seven branches. Mind you, seven! What for? The answer is six Branches were purposely created by the Division Head. It was only one Branch in Kampong Raja Uda before and the Branch Head did not get along well with the Division Head. So, the Division Head purposely created another six branches within the kampong. By doing so, there will be twelve extra delegates eligible to vote for the Division Head post. Since those six branches were created by the Division Head himself, surely he could get the majority of twelve votes from the seven branches. Member’s subscriptions from these branches are taken care by the Branch Head and the Division Head take care of the Branches Head. The Division Head position is secured. Projects allocated to Division Head are distributed to Branch Heads. That’s how UMNO being manage and operate, the more branches created, the more secured is the position of Division Head. To oppose an incumbent Division Head in any Division is very difficult and the only way out is to buy votes and the incumbent himself, to maintain his position also had to pay. That’s where money politic comes in. The more money you are willing to pour, the more chances you can be return. This process goes a long way up to national level. If UMNO going to taste glory days of the past, they have to completely revamp the system. That’s my honest feeling.

Whatever said, I still thank UMNO as a political party of the Tun Razak era, only the people who manage UMNO now that I am against. I tasted the fruits of National Economic Policy, my son had a scholarship for his University education and I had a good job in a Private sector. Pre 1969, the Malays could never dream holding prominent post in the private sector. Am I ungrateful? I don’t think so, I paid for them indirectly. I paid my income tax and other tax and toll regularly and as a wage earner there was no escape. I smoke and I have several cars running on petrol, therefore I contribute to the Government coffer. Thank God I have withdrawn all my EPF money and they cannot use my money to help the poor manage Government Link Companies (GLC).

Why I join PAS? Simple, I want to be an opposition. I want to see justice done and I can voice my dissatisfaction. In UMNO, I cant. The system had been tabulated by the Division Head and once you oppose, you are waylaid. You are considered as anti establishment within UMNO. I subscribe to “Hudud” law. For a start, it may be difficult but it is good for all. One simple example: once you are in your house at night, you are back to jail because your houses are all barricaded by steel bars. If you have “hudud”, no one dare to sneak into your house and we don’t need the grill anymore. The word thieves would be an alien. I know for the fact to implement “hudud” is near impossible in Malaysia because PAS alone cannot pass the enactment in Parliament. PAS put up only sixty candidates for the General Election and even if all returned there would be insufficient hands to pass the enactment. You need a two third majority. That’s where UMNO as a dominant Allah fearing party should subscribe to “hudud” and support PAS to implement “hudud” in Malaysia. For a start, let’s start with the “Muslim Only”, first. Later on, if other races or religious believe find it good, then they too can adapt. After all, all religions are teaching towards good thing. No religion is teaching its good to have illegitimate children or having sex freely with any Mary, Ah Moi and Tingachi.

I wish good luck to Wahid Endut and I hope one more seat for the Opposition in Parliament. One headache less for DSAI, and one headache more, for Kinabinatangan.

First Wedding - 2009.

On 3rd January 2009, the whole family was invited to a wedding at Bukit Sentosa in Rawang. It was the wedding of Amisyhril Edwan bin Amran to Shariza binti Jamal Abdul Nasir. Bukit Sentosa is a Produa country and the housing estates well planned and easy to locate.

Amran Din the bridegroom’s father is a close friend since 1960 when we stayed together in the Hostel at Government English School Tapah. He remains a close buddy. Amran Din, now a Pensioner was all the while with Radio Television Malaysia. At one time he was the Head of Limbang Station and reporting to my brother in Kuching Sarawak. Apparently, his wife hailed from the same kampong where I am staying now therefore, we are always near.

Though it was raining and drizzling at time, the wedding ceremony went as scheduled. The “bunga manggar” and the “kompang” were there typical of a Malay wedding. Some Guests came in well equipped with umbrellas and make the function more colorful. The food was superb and with the cool weather everybody seems to be having a good appetite and enjoying it. As usual Amran and his wife was busy entertaining the Guests and the children gladly welcome Guests armed with spare umbrellas.

Wedding is also a function where you can meet with old friends and I was glad to meet Professor Dr Yusuf Hashim and Rahman Surur a retired Police Officer. I have not met these two gentlemen for ages. Dr Yusuf Hashim is still attached with UPSI Tanjong Malim and Rahman now back in Malaysia where he was normally assigned with London Police. We exchanged notes and inquire what happened to so and so and where they are now. I was sorry to know that Rahman lost his wife in 1993 and he also had his bypass done.

Familiar faces from my residential area were also there as mentioned earlier Amran Din’s wife is my Kampong mate. My brother who was one time Amran Din Boss got me on the line stating that he would be arriving later.

We left the function and we still need the umbrella to the car.

NEW YEAR 2009.

Nothing to cheer about, watching TV and sending short messages to close friends wishing them Happy New Year 2009. Gaza is still being bombarded by the Jews and the loss of live is escalating. The injured is now in thousands. I submitted a petition on line protesting about the incursion. I very well know nobody is listening even though I received a reply from comment@whitehouse.gov.

At the strike of twelve at all major cities in the world, firework was shooting in the air. Kuala Lumpur was not spared and Pak Lah and his Jean were there at the Dataran Merdeka to greet the New Year. In Gaza they had firework too but in the form of bombs and missiles from American made aircrafts. Nobody at the Dataran ever thought about the different fireworks at Gaza, including Pak Lah. What they should do, at the strike of twelve, they stood still for a minute silence and remember the suffering of the stricken Gazan or even the Darfurian for that matter. During the minute silence, everybody with their own religious belief should say a prayer for world peace and God bless the nation for 2009. Who cares about the oncoming economic recession? Who cares about the price of goods at the price of oil at USD 120 per barrel still remain stagnant and no sign of change when the price of oil now is USD 38 per barrel?

The New Year day went as usual, the normal routine. In the evening, went to Pasar Malam to get my usual supplies. It’s much cheaper at the Pasar Malam comparing with the Supermarket. It was not the usual crowd, perhaps it was a public holiday and the people went outstation. Maybe, they have spent their money instead for the children uniforms and school imposed fees for the oncoming school sessions.

Resolution for 2009 – Justice must be seen and practiced by me and by all. I want to see a corrupt free country and a people friendly government service. Get myself nearer to Almighty the Creator and be more fearful of the forthcoming callback.
