NEW YEAR 2009.

Nothing to cheer about, watching TV and sending short messages to close friends wishing them Happy New Year 2009. Gaza is still being bombarded by the Jews and the loss of live is escalating. The injured is now in thousands. I submitted a petition on line protesting about the incursion. I very well know nobody is listening even though I received a reply from comment@whitehouse.gov.

At the strike of twelve at all major cities in the world, firework was shooting in the air. Kuala Lumpur was not spared and Pak Lah and his Jean were there at the Dataran Merdeka to greet the New Year. In Gaza they had firework too but in the form of bombs and missiles from American made aircrafts. Nobody at the Dataran ever thought about the different fireworks at Gaza, including Pak Lah. What they should do, at the strike of twelve, they stood still for a minute silence and remember the suffering of the stricken Gazan or even the Darfurian for that matter. During the minute silence, everybody with their own religious belief should say a prayer for world peace and God bless the nation for 2009. Who cares about the oncoming economic recession? Who cares about the price of goods at the price of oil at USD 120 per barrel still remain stagnant and no sign of change when the price of oil now is USD 38 per barrel?

The New Year day went as usual, the normal routine. In the evening, went to Pasar Malam to get my usual supplies. It’s much cheaper at the Pasar Malam comparing with the Supermarket. It was not the usual crowd, perhaps it was a public holiday and the people went outstation. Maybe, they have spent their money instead for the children uniforms and school imposed fees for the oncoming school sessions.

Resolution for 2009 – Justice must be seen and practiced by me and by all. I want to see a corrupt free country and a people friendly government service. Get myself nearer to Almighty the Creator and be more fearful of the forthcoming callback.
