The Doctor said.............

Slight increased on the blood pressure but well within range. It was 120/80 compared to the previous of 110/70. The weight remains static at 60 kg. The two (2) kilometer daily brisk walking really helps.

HbA1C satisfactorily controlled at 6.9. Previous was at optimal control at 5.8. That was like non diabetic. Wonderful!! Am glad I am still not on the penicillin injection as practice by some of my friends.

Creatinine (urine) reading was 8245 fell within the reference range of 2652 – 11050 but the Microalbumin was 49.2 slightly higher than it should be, less than 30. The reading of Microalbumin/Creatinine ratio was 5.97 where the reference is less than 3.40.

Generally BP and diabetic control was well maintained except for the kidney upkeep as indicated by the Microalbumin. I have to watch out on this particular area and control the protein intake.

Life is never the same anymore. I am avoiding the kenduri tahlil after Isyakh prayer practically at every other night especially with Ramadan forthcoming. As recommended by the Dietician, only a small bowl of rice once daily and plenty of leafy vegetable like a goat. That’s the price I have to pay and the sacrifices, to keep alive. GOD willing!!

The next appointment would be on 13 September 2012 as mid July & August would be Ramadan.
