KRU New Mosque as at 01 March 2012.

Right Mehrab.

Left Mehrab.

Workers installing the Mehrab slabs.

The designed Mehrab slabs.

Incomplete Imam Pulpit.

Overview of the Mehrab and Mimbar.

The Main Dome and the Minaret.

Left side of the Mosque.

The Courtyard. Note some ceilings not installed.

Main frontage.

Right frontage.

Right entrance into the Mosque.

The New Mosque from my residence frontage.

Nothing much going on except work to complete the Mehrab is in progress. Workers were here and there like scrubbing the courtyard etc.

The Mimbar is status quo.

Expected completion by end of March 2012, insyallah provided everything going on fine as planned.

My prediction is still June 2012 + or – two (2) months.

The current three (3) year term of KRU Mosque Committee who oversees the New Mosque would end by the end of May 2012 and the Meeting to select Committee Members of June 2102 – May 2015, tentatively would be held on 28 April 2012. It is for sure the selected Committee Members would be confronted with hell a lot of work to do and an uphill task. The teething problem itself would be a headache. Professionalism is the call of the day for the mere sake of the kariah (community) in general.

I am anxiously waiting for the moment where I can take my usual place in the New Mosque, my favorite spot at the right wing and face Mekah. Insyaalah.
