Understanding Simple Mosque.Terminology.

Mehrab.
(the decor at the wall).

Mehrab and Mimbar.
Kubah.
(The Dome).

Mimbar.
(The pulpit).

Before we want to manage a Mosque, make sure we know the above simple termininology. We should know the difference.
.
Mimbar - Nowadays at most newly constructed Mosques, the staircase is hidden from the Jemaah and the Imam would deliver the khutbah from a piegonhole like mimbar. As the staircase would occupies space it is being eliminated but the purpose of a mimbar is still beimg met. The colourful decorative deco with Islamic khat and the verses from the Holy Koraan surrounds the Mosque wall would sooth the eyes and soul. If its empty, it is just like a prison wall. Mosque is the place where we want to give our heart and soul with full concentration surrendering to Almighty Allah. The place where worshippers must have clean clothings, clean body physically and clean heart. It is strictly forbidden walking with shoes in the Mosque, in order to maintain it cleanliness.
