P 044 - Permatang Pauh.

The Parliamentary seat of Permatang Pauh fell vacant when the incumbent was sent to Prison for sodomy. He happened to be the Leader of the Opposition bench in Parliament.

What was interesting here, his wife of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) contested for the seat. Once upon a time the wife vacated the same seat soon when the husband was eligible to contest an election after serving a jail sentence. She gave the excuse to make way for the husband so that she can be nanny to her Grandchildren. Bullshit!!!! Now the husband sent back to jail, she reappeared to contest for the same seat. That’s Malaysian politic. Bright daylight nepotism - the Grandma with the hand fan. Pi mai, pi mai, keluarga tu jugak. (Merry go around, Merry come around).

Barisan Nasional (BN), Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) and an Independent (IDP) put up a challenge at Permatang Pauh Election on 07.05.2015 and the outcome:

BN :   21475 Votes
PKR : 30316 Votes.
PRM:      101 Votes.
IDP:         367 Votes.

MAJORITY: 8841 Votes.

Voter turnout percentage: 73%. (88.52% at GE 13).

The WINNER.

Now that she had won, don’t forget she is also a State Assembly Woman from a different State, Selangor. Being there was another story. The incumbent Assemblyman of Kajang was requested to resign to make way for her as she and her jailed husband had planned that if she won they would kick the State Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) and she became the Menteri Besar. It was not to be, as the Royal Highness the Sultan rejected her candidacy. There was uncertainty and turmoil in the State until one Joker agreeable by all within the pact of PKR, DAP and PAS. PAS who had the most number of seats in the Assembly House chickened out to become Menteri Besar. If any one of them became the Menteri Besar they are sure incapable of washing out all the vice dens within Selangor. What not to bring down Carlsberd Brewery in Shah Alam which they had promised if they came to power.

Permatang Pauh is considered an urban area, in Penang State, just opposite Penang Island and the State of Penang is govern by the Opposition, a coalition of DAP, PKR and PAS.

The issues capitalized by the Opposition pact were GST, IMDB, Mahathir bashing Najib & UMNO and at the eleventh hour, Tabung Haji bought land to bail 1MDB.

The election process was marred with several ugly incidences, everybody claiming they were not the provocateurs. Police cars were damaged. Some had their heads bandaged being thrown by hard object. Bear in bear, the Opposition pact had record history of Hindraff, Bersih, Reformasi, Anti GST, Free Anwar and you name it.

See how PKR sympathizers behave:

Above is not a normal behavior of so call Muslim Malay woman. Showing her middle finger is absolutely rude and ill bred (kurang ajar). Is that behavior not a provocation?
