Conveying Our Disapointment.

On 26 January 2010 the regular Jemaah of Masjid Kampong Raja Uda requested for a dialogue with Tuan Haji Ismail Arshad after the Maghreb prayer. Haji Ismail is the Klang PAS Yang DiPertua cum Ketua PAS Kampong Raja Uda cum Council Member of Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK). With the present portfolio, he stands as the most prominent personality in the Kampong being Pakatan Rakyat is the State Government of the day.

The question was: Why the New Mosque Notice Board which was reinstalled the previous night was removed? Since Haji Ismail Arshad, attended the meeting at PAID, he knows the outcome of the Meeting of which PAID had agreed that the New Mosque Protem Committee can proceed business as usual. On that aspect there was justification for the Jemaah to reinstall the Notice Board which was removed on 7 July 2009 as instructed by the Nazir and the Secretary.

The answer: Haji Ismail Arshad asked the Jemaah to refer the matter to the Ketua Kampong.

My Reply: (In my heart, WTF!). The Ketua Kampong seldom comes to the Mosque. Previously he avoided the Mosque as he disagreed with the previous Mosque Committee. Now with the present Committee of his own people (PAS Members) I don’t understand why he still avoids the Mosque. It is very difficult for us to convey our dissatisfaction to the Ketua Kampong.

Haji Ismail Arshad looked confused (scared?) himself as he was surrounded by several Jemaah. I even showed Haji Ismail my PAS Membership Card to indicate that this was PAS member talking. He then left the Mosque abruptly and never attended the Isyakh prayer. I had to calm down Wahab who was steaming but instead I was beginning to pick up momentum of emotion. Before Haji Ismail Arshad left, I spoke to him privately that for the past six (6) months ever since the Notice Board was removed and left idle in the Meeting Room, the Jemaah remain quiet, disciplined and now, since he himself knows that the Protem Committee is valid, it was fair that the Jemaah reinstalled the Notice board to its original place for good purposes. So…..what’s the problem? The Notice Board is just a Notice Board and does not harm anybody. The Notice Board would tell all the Jemaah the construction development of the New Mosque. Is that no bloody good? KMA. The Mosque is for all Muslims just like PAS for ALL.

Since someone removed it, we now want that someone to reinstall it. We don’t care whether Haji ismail agree or otherwise. We apply simple logic. It was removed and we kindly reinstalled and now removed, what do you expect us to do? Tug of War is only a sporting event in school sports and we are no more in schools. We are in the Mosque. YBM.

For the record, while the Jemaah reinstalled the Notice Board on 26 January 2010 pre Marhaban activity there were two (2) Pas Spy hanged around in the Mosque. We did things openly unlike them who has no balls only waiting for the opportune time when there was no one in the Mosque. The removal of the New Mosque Notice Board was reported to JAIS immediately after words spun around. The Notice Board is like Chipsmore biscuit: Now you see it, now you don’t.

28 January 2010 Thursday night: During tahlil and recitation of Yasin, Nazir, Secretary and Ketua Kampong were nowhere to be seen. Haji Ismail Arshad however was around so as the Treasurer who dare not even sit along with the imam as the Mosque Committee Member. He chose a place somewhere at the back.

Upon completion of the tahlil, yours truly confronted Haji Ismail Arshad and asked him where the Ketua Kampong is? He is not around? He looked stunned with my question and out of word. I just walked off, WTF. As the Penasihat (Advisor) of the Mosque it is appropriate for the Ketua Kampong to be present at the Mosque at every Malam Jumaat. Mosque Advisor? Your perception is as good as mine. I hope Haji Ismail conveyed the message to the Yang Bertugas Datok Ketua Kampong.
