European Cup Final 2010/2011.

Barcelona vs Manchester United at Wembley Stadium on the early morning of 29 May 2011 (Malaysian time).

I predicted the score would be Barcelona 1 and Manchester United 2 but when the final whistle blown Barcelona 3 and Manchester United 1.

MU only won one (1) Cup out of three (3). FA Cup won by their neighbor and European Cup remain in Spain.

MU started strong during the first ten (10) minutes, the rest of the game, Barcelona taught MU how to play possession and short passing football. During the initial ten (10) minutes, I taught it was MU game all the way finally Manchester United never did walk to the rostrum to receive the European Cup. Disappointing finale for Manchester United.

First Half – Pedro scored for Barcelona by placing the ball at the left corner beyond Van De Sar reach but Wayne Rooney managed to equalize. He curled home from 15 yards to ignite hope. After that Rooney and his team mates struggles to make an impact.

Second Half – Barcelona was camping in front of MU goalmouth and matter of time they would score. David Villa and Messi netted one each for Barcelona. There was no more hope for MU. Vidic and Rio Ferdinand were outplayed by Messi cheeky footwork.

Overall – MU was entirely watching the game. They have not recovered from the hangover after they celebrated winning the Barclay Cup. Surprisingly the most outstanding and hardworking MU player on the pitch was Park Ji Sung. He was everywhere. The rest were still groggy.

Towards the end when Nani and Paul Scholes came in as replacement there were at least some actions at Barcelona goalmouth, but it was too late. Fabio, Carrick, Evra, Ryan Giggs, Hernandez and Valencia were totally out of steam. It was sad to see van De Sar, played his last game for MU in England collected the ball trice from his net.

Sir Alex………you can keep on chewing the gum until the next season of UEFA Cup League. Personally you lack the enthusiasm and under estimated Barcelona. The starting lineup was no match to Barcelona.

Barcelona deserved to win. They are the best football club in Europe.

I will not talk about football until the summer is over.
