Suarez said that the Hand of God belongs to him and it was his hand that took Uruguay to the semi. When Uruguay met Holland in the semi final, God did not helped them again and Uruguay ended playing for the third and fourth placing. Holland won 3 – 2.
Glovanni van Bronckhorst captained of the Dutch team shot a 35 yard pile driver, hit the left upright corner and nothing the Uruguayan Goalkeeper could do. Wesley Sneijdner added the second and the forehead of Arjen Robben the third. Arjen Robben with David Villa of Spain is sharing the top scorer of the World Cup with five (5) goals. Big names like Kaka, Messi and Rooney went home with duck.
Diego Forlan captained of Uruguay did the same as Glavanni van Bronckhorst but this time from the center and the Dutch Goalkeeper, a little bit off position could only pushed the rocketing ball into his own net. The second of Uruguay goal was from Maxi Pereira during the last minute of full time.
The extra three (3) minutes was nail biting as Uruguay was pushing hard for a draw and extra thirty (30) minutes to play.Now it confirmed that it will be all European Final. Whoever wins between Germany and Spain, it will meet the Dutch in the Grand Finale of 2010 World Cup.
